B I O G R A P H Y

They referred to her parents as a fairytale romance; a pair of elegant Skydancers who were deeply devoted to one another. From their line sprang children who would inherit their grace and their love. Or at least, so they believed.

Her egg was a many-faceted thing, gleaming in the nest like a polished gemstone. When at last she broke free, she spread her crystalline wings and basked in the adoration of her parents and newly-hatched siblings alike. Her youth was filled with kindness and compassion.

When the time came for her to undergo her hatchling trials, she flourished in her successes and left to join Starweaver’s Sanctuary, the only one of her clutch, to try and find her destiny.

Her parents gave her their blessing and she took journeyed with Silversong to the Sanctuary with only a small pack of her favorite treats, a drawing of her family, and the small jewel-making tools she had been gifted after passing her trials.

B I O G R A P H Y

It surprised her to find the other juveniles a little intimidated of her, at first. Her wings were razor sharp, despite their beauty, to do their faceted nature. The black and white of her plush fur seemed to make them fearful, and it did not help that she bore icy white spines along her vertebrae.

The young dragoness learned a valuable lesson that day about judging others by their covers. Her family had loved her because she was their family, but these dragons were strangers. She vowed never to decide what a dragon must be like based on their looks alone, whether dazzling or monstrous.

During the brief time she was alone, she busied herself with cracking open seemingly innocuous rocks, only to find the precious and radiant gemstones they bore inside. Were dragons not like this, too? A rock could hide a gem, and a gem could hide a rock. Determined to be beautiful on the inside as well as the outside, she carved the gems until her claws bled in order to make fantastical pieces of jewelry for her friends. The effort paid off, and soon she began perfecting her art. With these lessons and skills in mind, she moved on from the Sanctuary, ready to start a new life on the right foot with her Clan.

The bright red berries contrasted sharply against Neave's black and white hands. She held it out in mid-air, hoping to soothe a panicked creature.

It took a few minutes, but a few brightly coloured birds and insects took the bait. She would try and keep them close so they wouldn't get trampled, but they misunderstood her intentions and fled as soon as she dared to try.

Eventually, a small squall rasa approached her, looking rather exhausted.

"Oh you poor little thing," she cooed softly. She knelt down so it could reach the berries in her hands.

It hungrily scoffed them down. As soon as it was finished she was worried that it would run too, but it hovered nearby and rather cheekily sniffed around for more! Delighted, Neave granted its wishes with a fresh handful of berries and it ate those quickly too.

As it was finished the second time, Neave cautiously ran her hand through it's soft fur, and it settled into her touch.

She smiled slightly. "I think I'll take you home, shall I?"
