Much like her sister, Gefa, Erce has always had a talent for growing things. Earth turns eagerly from fallow to fertile beneath her touch. Yet with Erce, there is more. A withered plant that most would call not just weak or sickly but dead will be in bloom mere days after entering her care. And there is more - she knows things, things she could not possibly know. Things done or said in the secrecy of the forest, under the cover of nightfall in the black depths of winter. Secret loves whispered to the petals of a daisy. Anxious glances as herbs are gathered to prevent what must not come to pass, to brew into teas and tinctures. Deeds uttered to no-one, she knows.
It is thought that the plants tell her - that they carry secrets to her on the tendrils that enclose her nest. Perhaps the knowledge is grown into their seeds, their flowers, the fruit she eats after always giving thanks to the plant that bore it.

She has never done harm with what she knows. Oftentimes, she appears with little else but a small, secret smile as she passes a tisane of herbs wrapped in a discrete silken cloth into the surprised hand of one who had been trying to make this thing herself.

But all fear to cross her, or to cause her offence. For secrets, all dragons know, are power.
