B I O G R A P H Y

These kitsune live in forest depths, hidden deep within shaded woods. They are diverse in number and notoriously elusive, even to other kitsune. They hide in shadows and fog better than any other variant, blending into their forest environment like ghosts. Thought to be related to the Nogitsune, Forest Spirits differ in their extreme reclusive behavior, and have little interest in traveling far beyond the groves they protect and haunt.

However Joan found her home in the sanctuary of the Flames Embrace, chosen by the previous leader to take her place and lead the clan into a new era. She took her mentors name as soon as she left to answer the call of the Flame Caller. As the newest leader the older dragons, those who have ruled towers far longer than she has made sure that she was prepared. They helped her as they had the previous leaders before her, aiding her in her new position alongside her mate Dimitri.

Her heritage as a Kitsune wasn't the only reason that she had been chosen by the previous leader. She had the ability to control a rare type of Dying Will Flame known as the Flame of Oaths. Not only was this flame the rarest but it was known to have been used by only those who had ruled the Flames Embrace and bring it into a new era of greatness. She has since grown into her new role, becoming more adept at working with her famiglia or family along with other clans. It was honestly a surprise to most that she had taken to it like a fish to water and her tree only seemed to prosper despite the heat and smog of the Ashfall Waste.

B I O G R A P H Y

Joan's first memory is of fire, not the kind that she associates with her home or family, this fire was wild and dangerous. It sought nothing but destruction in its purest form as it separated her from those that had been her parents and somehow managing to bring her to the founder of the Flames Embrace, Scintillate. The guardian took her under her wing, protected her from the elements the best that she could until they reached the clan that the other had created before Joan was even a twinkle in her parents eyes. She met the previous Joan and Dimitri upon her arrival and her predecessor had eagerly taken her under her wing as she sensed the power under the others fur.

Years would pass before the previous leaders decided to travel to learn from their deity and never return to their home. By now she had control of her flames, and the respect of all of her clan mates. Her abilities in battle were almost unparalleled as she had learnt from the oldest and strongest members of the clan on how to use her tails and other abilities in a fight. Her jewels, the nine shining stones that were the outward projections of her own soul and magic in where she found her home in the flames that symbolized her family and the tree she had bound herself to. Dimitri would be her rock, the silent shadow that assisted her and made sure that she did not stress herself out too much.

In the Embrace she found her home, five towers and a growing family of dragons to keep watch over. Her time is spread chaotically between checking over final mission reports, statistics, and the finance list from the Tower of Prosperity. A job that requires full time attention and that she is proud to do (with a few gallons of wine present thank you very much) for the benefit of her whole clan.

Now she's finally been able to relax and retire to the position of Head advisor so that she can assist the newest leader of the Embrace.
