ABOUTxxxxx❝Snowball fight!❞
Strange things have been happening in Sornieth throughout the past century. As the worlds natural magic becomes more and more volatile, the dragons that inhabit it have begun to change, and the creatures of the past have begun to rise again. Creatures such as the Gaoler's, brought forth once again from the deep recesses of the Fortress of Ends. Not all Gaoler's remained trapped, however, and that was how Yule was born. At the time of his discovery, the Gaoler's had not yet fully come to light. His abandoned egg lay in the outskirts of the Fortress of Ends, the deepest part of the Icefields, ravaged by blizzards and thick snow. His shell was more like a rock, easy to miss among the jagged earth that poked out of the snow here and there. If not for the faintest wiggle and the keen eye of a soft spoken young Imperial, he would have been born cold, hungry, and alone. |

When the egg hatched a week later, the herd leaders were quite displeased. Bringing in a mysterious dragon to their ranks was one thing, possible kidnapping another, but the real concern was that the dragon looked like THAT. Sharp points and quiet whispers echoed around them and Mistletoe drew the newborn close. To the herd, she was still a baby herself, and there was no time to add another mouth to feed during this season. But, for once in her life, young Missy spoke up and defended the child. Her courage seemed enough to sway the leaders, but he was going to be her responsibility.
By the time Yule reached his teenage years, Mistletoe had become curiously infatuated with a female Tundra she met by chance. So much so, that she was ready to leave the herd. Though Yule was a little brother to her, she had technically raised him herself, and she couldn't abandon him to the herd. Taking him meant introducing more dragons to his strange appearance, which had been mostly kept hidden. Yule wouldn't let Missy leave without her, and it was enough for her.
While the clan was startled by his unique looks, they held personality above appearance. His polite and quiet manner fit in well, and he easily found a job to keep himself busy, toy making! He loves spending time with his oddball family, especially little Cheer.
Now that the Gaoler's have begun to appear once more in Sornieth, he may finally find the answers he'd been seeking...
