Genie

Genie was once a dragon-shaped djinn, sharing her lamp with a fox spirit. She spent many centuries stuck in her lamp or granting the petty wishes of dragons and beastclan members. She gradually became cold, and harboured a hatred to all who picked up her lamp, until one day she was freed by a kind-hearted Maren hermit, to live her life as a normal dragon. She wandered Sornieth, marvelling at the different territories, until her magical nature drew her to the Starfall Isles and she found Mirria's clan.

There have been many guesses as to why her eyes are orange like those from the fire flight. Genie suspects that her lamp was manufactured in the Ashfall Waste, but she can't be certain. Besides, she is reluctant to pin her imprisonment on a flight, and she knows whichever dragon stuffed her soul into that lamp will be long dead. She kept her old lamp, refusing to part with her companion that still lives inside it. Unlike Genie, the fox spirit's life force seems directly linked to the lamp, meaning that freeing the spirit would be fatal to it.

Genie is a good-natured soul, but awkward in the customs of dragonkind. She frequently forgets that she is now mortal, and doesn't wield the cosmic power she did as a djinn, so her clanmates need to keep a constant watch on her to ensure that she doesn't get herself into a life threatening situation with only her ego to get her out.
