» Despite hatching in the Emberglow lava pools, Kiyoo spends nearly all of her time underwater. From a young age she grew fascinated with the earthquakes that rattled the Ashfall Wastes, eventually leading her to the seamounts and underwater volcanos within the Tidelord's oceans.

» Kiyoo was approached by Mariana to study the seismic activity underwater, particularly around the Trench, with an advance on all funding she would require and the insistence of a research partner - Otachi, a bioluminescent nocturne under Mariana's care.

» Her arrival at The Guild was fairly quiet. Mariana proved to be an important council member so no one objected, at least not loudly. However with an overview of her skills and plan to study the Trench the Council welcomed her and the rest of the guild members followed suite.

» Kiyoo spends most of her time away from the actual guild hall - only returning when she runs out of supplies, Otachi complains about pressure headaches, or Lo'ihi & Midway have another clutch. Otherwise she can be found in the deep parts of the Trench, studying vibrations and the resulting shifts of the sea floor.

» If she does take a proper break, she can be found swimming in the lava pillow fields or seeking out a weekend adventure to find some spooky cryptids.

- Kiyoo has been researching scientific phenomena her entire life. She works in the lava pillow forests in the South Quadrant of the Sea studying seismic activity presumed to be from the local sea mounts but she'd be lying if she didn't believe in the legends around the lava pits. Seeing her first true leviathan sparked her curiosity about all the "unknowns" in the world and now she spends her time off seeking out mysterious cryptids, joined by her thrill-seeking companions - a small corn snake named James and his friend Darrow the Tickbird. Currently she's searching her home territory of the Molten Scar to find traces of a legendary Will o the Wisp that burns so bright it can blind any dragon who gazes upon it.
