From the first moment Ayane met her mother, she was enamored by a dragon she thought she knew. A gorgeous, smooth-talking Pearlcatcher from the hustling bustling Lightning Flight, who handcrafted her own jewelry. Consider the tiny Nocturne starstruck. Although the meeting was brief, Ayane's love for jewelry stayed. Instead of using her sharp wits for memorizing types of herbs and potions, her father was disheartened when he learned her interests were concerned with jewelry and trendy fashion. To say he was disappointed was understatement and poor Ayane found the grief a little too hard to swallow. She knew she came from a long line of natural healers and that her own grandmother was an esteemed healer in the forest, but some part of her always knew she was not like them. Just like her sister, she felt isolated. So struck by the glimmer of jewels she hopes to one day own her own store, or to become a jeweler's apprentice in order to learn the trade. Ayane has great aspirations to travel to the different flights, and to collect the most beautiful jewels wherever she goes. She hopes to radiate confidence and wisdom about her trade, the way her mother did during their first meeting.
