Saturn

I don't consider Saturn to have a particularly dark past, especially since I haven't written it in her got dang bio yet, but troubled? Yes.
Saturn wasn't always a thief, and she didn't always live in the desert. That said, she has always been a nomad. She and her Mother used to travel the world in search of new and fun places to see. They never really had a clan, and Saturn never really knew why, but it didn't really matter. They had each other.

Unfortunately, while passing through the desert where Saturn now resides, Saturn's mother was killed by thieves. Of course, Saturn and her mother Jaken had very little on them, so the thieves left with very little except the food the two had been saving as they traversed the desert in search of its mysteries. Saturn never truly got over her mother's death, which is part of the reason she stays in the desert, hoping to catch glimpses of her mother in mirages. Still, she has found some sense of closure.

See, the reason Saturn is a thief stems from her mother's death. Jaken knew that she would die, and she had the foresight to hide Saturn before anything could happen to her. But, just because Saturn was hidden doesn't mean she didn't see what happened. She only thanks the deities that her mother's death was a quick and painless one. The thieves who killed her, however, were not granted the same mercy.

Saturn worked her way up through the ranks, stealing riches and selling them to others in hopes of finding her mother's killers. And she did, but not with out cost to herself. Part of the reason she wears a mask is because: 1. she no longer knows who she is, and is afraid to look at herself and see her mother, and 2. because of the scars she earned in her battle. She can only see out of one eye.

Presently, and much more happily, Saturn is in a life-long relationship with Jupiter, a desert mystic that Saturn was actually going to rob lmao. I wrote about their meeting here. It's short and touches on Saturn's nature just a bit :') She's a real big softy at heart, which Jupiter totally knew.
