Corra was as happy as any young dragon to leave her home and travel the world to look for her destiny. Of course, she hasn't really left the Sunbeam Ruins, just moved closer to the sea from the Mirrorlight Promenade... And she wasn't so much travelling the world as working to keep record and make tea for Demantoid, one of the clan's diplomats... But if he's a diplomat, he's bound to be travelling and taking her with him eventually, right? Right? Well, whatever it takes to make those concerned letters from her parents stop. "Have you found a, you know, a real calling? One that's gonna get you a job?" They just didn't understand how important art was to her, no one did... Except Marble, but Corra wasn't sure quoting a dragon who, as most agreed, has lost, well, all her marbles, was going to get her anywhere in that argument. The new (and very first) job and the pressure were getting to her so much that she lost all her inspiration and hasn't touched paints after she started living with the clan... Until HER. It wasn't too surprising, really, that Corra hasn't met Thulite for weeks after moving into the clan. The huntress was going through a death of a friend the best way she knew how - by driving herself emotionally numb with exhaustion. Between her hunting and training, and Corra running errands for her boss, there was little chance the two would meet any time soon. It finally happened on the Night of the Nocturne. Corra was able to get a much-awaited day off, despite her mentor being convinced that holidays are not an excuse to slack off work. Thulite, on her part, planned to avoid the celebrations altogether, but was dragged by other warriors against her will. There, amidst the mythical atmosphere of the celebration, Corra looked at the graceful and deadly famed huntress - the story of The Thorned has reached her home clan as well - and realised that she was in deep for good. The walls of the closet Corra never even knew existed came down crashing. Her admiration for the fierce and beautiful huntress was all it took for her inspiration and good mood to come back. The artist has picked up her paints and brushes again, often staying late to work on her latest paintings. Most dragons noticed how the young artist suddenly became a lot more lively then before, and Demantoid even complimented her on how she has become a lot more efficient in her work. The secret? Do all the tasks quicker to have enough time to come and watch Thulite train the young hunters and warriors. If Corra wasn't completely hopeless at fighting she would've had an instant career change - just for a chance to get that much closer to her crush. If only there was any chance her affections would ever be returned... |
