Silkwyrm was born in a nature clan, a crowded cluster of fae clinging to the branches of a very old oak tree, hung heavy with amber nests. When the boughs began to sag beneath the weight of her family, Silkwyrm's mother ushered her and her siblings to find a fresher, less dizzyingly overpopulated place to live. She ventured South and joined ragtag bands of dragons along the way before settling a while with a wind clan, where she tended to the plants cultivated for the herbivores among them. Eventually, though, she realized that while life here was easy, she didn't feel a bond with the other dragons. Many of them took frequent journeys across Sornieth for festivals or visits with distant relatives, and it seemed hardly anyone was there long enough to really get to know. After putting it off for a few months, she decided that this wasn't her true home. She would have to look elsewhere.
