Personality:Painter and Art Critic  " Treat a work of art like a prince. Let it speak to you first "
Palladium is a prideful and creative spiral. He enjoys critiquing others and walking around in confident strides. His skill and intelligence can be overbearing to some dragons but to others he’s highly sought after for it. To others he appears contempt towards ‘inferiors’ but he just thinks of himself as on a higher level than they are. Lore: As a young hatchling Palladium enjoyed staying off to himself painting. Naturally they weren’t perfect; they were much too rushed and appeared more like smears and scribbles. However, he continued working on honing his skills and knew he had a talent for it, as they were better than other dragons his age despite the faults. Most of the bad ones were destroyed while his better ones were proudly shown off to his birth clan. Even then though he grew to critique himself and others, comparing and looking for faults until he grew restless of staying in a limited environment; Palladium left in search of more information and inspiration. During his trips Palladium met an art critic named Quennar. He began to realize he admired the conceited skydancer and despite their similar personalities became friends. Palladium would critique the skydancer and Quennar would do the same to his works. Of course, they enjoyed judging others’ art much more, as it gave them reasons to share their mockeries and brought up inside jokes between them. Eventually Palladium settled in the Adventurer’s Guild after leaving Quennar to keep traveling. There he found a warm home where the dragons held many interesting stories he could paint from as well as rocks and other supplies that he could use as pigments. As an art critic and a painter Palladium has to focus on making the best paintings as well as guiding the lesser skilled artists to greatness by showing their flaws. The jobs can become biased of course due to being a painter himself but he does maintain a focused list when critiquing others. Outside of painting and being a critic he enjoys warming himself by the vents and exploring the area for a view or object fit for his canvas. Occasionally he will also meet up with Quennar and the two will talk about horrid artwork they’ve seen or how to promote their own. |
