- used to work alongside Banella in the theatre, but now the focus of his work is the circus
- When he was young, he was in love with a girl, but it ended in tragedy. He turned to necromancy to try to bring her back, but he was never able. Though he was used necromancy in his over endeavors, he still clings to the hope they may one day be reunited.
- Because of his lost love, roses are commonplace around him

There are few things Kaladin enjoys more than the darting glances of other dragons, who, on catching his dagger glare, will look anywhere else as quickly as possible. His smirk is sharp as his tongue - his friends are few, but those brave enough to wade through the snark, the curtness, the hollow chiding, find themselves bound to a fast, loyal friend, who'd do anything to protect them. He tells himself it's selfish - for he hates being alone - but he'd be lost without his closest kin.
