Apollo is a scolarly sorcerer, who joined the clan of library ruins because of their vast, well, library. He is dedicated himself to studying magic, and believes himself to be rather formidable in his knowledge of theoretical magic.

The key word being theoretical, so far his greatest achievement in practical magic was to turn himself from white winged violet pearlcatcher into brown winged yellow one, and he wasn't even supposed to be casting a color spell back then...

Whenever there's a miscast magic spell with unexpected results, in nine cases out of ten it's Apollo's fault.
