Biography
Shale was born as a Tundra. Nervous and shy, she felt that she could never chase her dream of becoming a warrior amongst the nocturnes due to her soft appearance. After she met Slate, a strong Guardian warrior (who later became her mate), she began to come out of her soft and fluffy shell, gaining more courage and learning from Slate how to be a good warrior. She was taught how to use knives, swiftly dodge attacks, and whatever else that could help her in battle. One day Quetzal called for a meeting, saying that 2 dragons could volunteer to transcend into a new breed; the Undertide. This was her chance to become the strong dragon she'd always dreamed of becoming. Although Slate was a bit tired of fighting and all of the bloodshed, Shale begged him to become this new dragon with her. After some bickering, he finally gave in. They are still closely bonded as mates, but have generally switched positions: Slate enjoys helping gather fish to feed the Lair, and Shale now studies under Cassiopeia and the other warriors. After a long day of work, the two of them cuddle close in the flowing rivers of the Everbloom Gardens.
