Growing up in the Cloudscrape Crags, Lovaas learned to treat even the weakest spark of life with reverence and a nurturing hand. Though many of her peers were hardened by the harsh, unforgiving climate around them, Lovaas kept a comforting warmth that could soothe the troubles of any dragon that came to her door. Her pacifism started to get her into trouble, though, as she refused to take up arms even in defense of herself, and her clan’s warriors always had to come running to drag her away from some beast or another she had wandered too close to.

Lovaas hated being a burden to the warriors of her clan, and decided to travel north to where she hoped her gentle nature might be more of use. She was steadfast in her belief that all life is sacred and must be protected at all cost, and would not resort to violence under any circumstances. She traveled aimlessly for some time, helping towns with petty disagreements and even brokering a few peace treaties with rival factions, and found her calling in diplomatic work. Her unique ability to share her emotions and the emotions of others rather than just sense them as other skydancers can made her invaluable in helping feuding sides understand the other's perspective. She dreamed of becoming the ambassador for a clan, but did not have much hope that any clan would accept an outsider as their sole representative to important diplomatic meetings.

The evening after particularly intense peace-talks with a Harpy clan in the Shifting Expanse, Lovaas was approached by a kind snapper who expressed deep admiration for Lovaas’ calm demeanor and genuine candor, and was wondering if she was looking for work as a clan’s ambassador. Lovaas was overjoyed by the offer, and immediately traveled with the Snapper deeper into the desert. When they made camp and awoke the next morning, Lovaas was stunned to find herself in a bright tavern.

Kulaas, the snapper that had escorted Lovaas to the Tavern, became her mentor, and was happy to find new ways to enhance Lovaas’ diplomatic and emotion-sharing skills with therapeutic techniques and meditation. They made a very effective team - the the pair could diffuse just about every clash or argument that arose in or out of the Tavern within an hour. Lovaas discovered a passion for music, and began to integrate her delicate bells and chimes into Kulaas’ therapy and meditation sessions. With her emotion-sense, she could very quickly adjust the rhythm and volume of the music to soothe or relax, and Kulaas began to recommend a couple of hours a week playing music with Lovaas to many of her troubled clients.

An old friend of Lovaas' from the Maren found their way to the Tavern, worried since they had not heard from her in some time, but was pleased to discover she had found a permanent place in a clan. Eager to help their friend with her new passion for therapy, they offered their own musical services to aid in Lovaas' therapy. Lovaas gave them their dragon name Ahloriiv - "soothe" and the two immediately saw marked improvement with their clients. When Lovaas is away from the Tavern, she can rest assured that her clients are safe with Ahloriiv's music to calm them.

When Kunzii came to the Tavern and expressed an interest in Lovaas’ diplomatic work, the pair became very close as they traveled to clans near and far to procure trade deals and offer therapeutic services. She developed an especially close relationship with the ambassador of Shi’Kahr, Soval, and the ambassador for a group of ecologists studying the Shrieking Wilds, Citrabha. The three of them enjoy having a quiet cup of tea at each other’s homes and talking about the troubles and excitement of their clans that month.
