There were days Portal wished he could clone himself. Days like today. He needed to finish the repairs to the Dream Portal before the next expedition. He also needed to finalize his act for the traveling show that he and his mate will be going on soon.

He paused while connecting the wires and thought lovingly about his dear Ethereal. He knew her and Sounds had been working on a new routine, and she was being very secretive about it. Every time he startled them discussing the routine, her eyes danced with inner excitement.

Satele has been putting extra pressure on the troupe to help spread goodwill with all the upheaval going on. Clan Mythweaver was large and comprised of dragons of all flights and breeds. Maintaining peace within was just as important as actively promoting it without.


Portal sighed and resumed his repairs. He would have to leave Nalak in charge of the portal while they were out. The thought made the mirror nervous. Nalak was good but he was always trying to invent things while he was supposed to be working. Sometimes Portal wondered if the young skydancer would ever get his head out of the clouds..
