Azrael

Similar to his biblical namesake, he is the 'Archdragon of Death', a dragon version of the 'Archangel of Death'; meaning, he is akin to a King of all the Dragons of Death, a legion of dragons whose sole purpose is to bring about the death of an individual; mostly unseen and behind the scenes. Though one may be inclined to think of him as a big and scary Grim Reaper who brutally kills to collect a soul, this is not the case.

Azrael only kills those who deserve to be killed and peacefully causes the death of those who are destined to die at a certain moment. Being the 'Archdragon of Death', all Dragons of Death are under his sovereign command. Despite his role, however, he only acts under the will and command of Sornieth's mightiest deities. Regardless of the chaos that he may cause, Azrael puts his loyalty to the dragon gods above all else.

Having the role of a leader means huge responsibilities. As a figure of great wisdom once said, "With great power comes great responsibility". Azrael provides direction and guidance to all who seek them. He knows all the strengths and weaknesses of dragonkind. Known as the 'Archdragon of Death', it doesn't mean that he can only cause death; Azrael eradicates, but he can also renew all life.

Azrael, Sornieth's mightiest Dragon of Death, the most fearsome and ferocious warrior, an immortal being... One may think that he's an evil and vicious entity because of these terrifying powers that he has; perhaps they would do good to realize that they are wrong. Azrael even essentially acts as a grief counselor to those who have lost a loved one. He can advise those who are grieving and aid them through an emotionally difficult time. He will also try to make the journey from the physical world to a spiritual existence as comfortable and pain-free as possible for those who have passed away.

With all of that, the entire [insert Clan Name here] clan is highly considering him as a successor to the throne, the present-day monarch included.
