My eyes shuttered open, almost as if someone had pulled my eyelids, prodded, and pried them. I didn't want to wake up, I preferred my sanctuary of stillness and control in the night. As my nettlesome body began to rise, the faux fur cotton blanket was in tune with my movement. A glance over at the open window would tell you it must've been half past noon. The sun was glaring into my deteriorating room, the dust particles swirled round and round as though they were running from one another.
