 		Leoven was born into a fighter’s clan, an Ice clan who focused on nothing more than war and conquest. He grew up with loving but strict parents, who taught him everything he ever could’ve needed to know about combat. However, Leoven wasn’t happy fighting. He never liked causing harm to another dragon. He even disliked it when other dragons hunted. He only ate plants, and even though they were few and far between in the frozen tundra of the Southern Icefield, Leoven always made do.

Unfortunately for him, though, he was much different than the rest of his clan, including his parents and siblings. When he was in his formative years, he developed a crush on one of the other young warrior males. Leoven was known as more of a wimp because he wasn’t very good at fighting and he didn’t like it, but the drake he had a crush on was strong, resilient, and handsome. He soon realized that this was not considered normal in his clan, and so he kept it to himself, writing journals about his feelings instead of expressing them outwardly.

However, this secret ate away at Leoven, so much so that it hurt. He was in pain every day of his life, and he finally realized that he couldn’t stand it anymore. He asked his crush to meet him in the forest, and he confessed his feelings to him. The drake rejected him, and told his parents what had happened.

Thus ensued the yelling and screaming. His parents berated him for attempting to take another male as a mate, and demanded to know why he wasn’t doing as well as the other dragons his age. Leoven got angry and told his parents the complete and honest truth: he was bisexual, and he liked male dragons, and he wanted to be a healer, not a berserker. His parents teared up, and they told him to get out of their clan. Realizing what he’d just done, Leoven tried to apologize, to make reparations, but the truth was out there now, and there was no taking it back.

So he ran away. He ran until he could run no further, out of breath and out of hope. At last he came to the heart of the Tangled Wood, where he was rescued by two Guardian dragons, King and Shale. He was swept into the Umbra Sanguis clan, where he was finally accepted for who he was. King and Shale welcomed him with open arms and open hearts, and, for once in his life, Leoven finally felt like he belonged.

Leoven is a soft-hearted, sensitive soul. His friends describe him as almost motherly, like a mother hen in fact. He worries about the whole clan, and if someone is sick, he takes them to the apothecary immediately to be healed. Even if a dragon just has a scratch, Leoven cares for them as If they were deathly ill. He is compassionate, strong-hearted, and kind.
