Cantabo is animalistic, for lack of a better word. She literally has the mind of a predator, seeking out her food in the form of others' fear of singing. Of course, she had learned from watching other beings to mimic being sapient. But that's all it is, mimicry, and no substance behind the facade. Only hunger. The more savvy dragons and Miis may find there's something off about her as a result.

In a deal between a sapient fragment of the Shade and the Beast of a Thousand Faces, Cantabo was offered to Richard to assist in his endeavors. The Imperial managed to tame the Wildclaw-shaped monster to the point where it follows him around like a faithful dog. One could say that her Mii form in Miitopia looks like a feral dog, with her long black hair that's completely unkempt, torn clothing, and soulless but somewhat wild eyes. Of course, you have to feed your dogs to keep them happy. So every time Richard brought up a dragon (if in Sornieth) or a Mii (in Miitopia) upstage to sing with him in front of his large audience, and the person is squirming and panicking under the fact they're being forced to sing in front of a ton of people, he's not doing it out of good but misguided intentions as he would lead you to believe.
