Maternal || In many ways a mother to the Clan, Nayru serves as both a guide and teacher. While she would never procreate herself, she has a strong desire to protect and train the young ones of our order.
Charismatic || Nayru has a way about her that many cannot seem to ignore. Her words are smooth and artfully chosen. She very rarely uses this to beguile anyone for her own gain; she but draws them to the Light...
Fearless || A warrior from the beginning, there is very little that could ever faze the Imperial femme. She will take any battle put before her for the good of her Clan and those around her.
Prideful || Her most fatal flaw is her pride. Nayru knows she is powerful and important to the life of her order. She also takes great pride in her appearance, viewing herself as too wondrous even for the charms and trinkets many others seem to prefer to wear.
Demanding || Nayru demands much of her students and those around her. Her code of conduct is a high standard to hold and those who break it in her presence are unlikely to escape easily.

H I S T O R Y

Nayru's beginnings were humble and destructive to say the least. She never knew her family, for when she hatched all that was around her was destroyed. The nest her egg lay in smoldered from fire and residual arcanic energy. After finally loosing herself from the small shell prison, the tiny Imperial female was forced to wander in search of food and other necessities. The effort nearly killed her, and after much travelling on only meager insects she could catch herself, Nayru collapsed near death. Had it not been for a travelling elder, she would have died.

Nayru was taken in by a travelling Acolight, an elderly femme who trained the tiny thing in all she knew- the art of war and how it could best serve their goddess the Lightweaver. Lightweaver was the only deity Nayru ever knew, and it was not until she was near adulthood that she discovered, or rather was told, she did not actually come from Lightweaver herself. It was of little consequence to her, for the goddess had saved her and given her a family so she would serve Her gladly.

Once her training was completed, Nayru learned of her unique ability to train others. Her techniques were swift and steady, able to bring many into the service of Lightweaver in a very short amount of time. She counted it as her blessing and joy to serve as such.

It was during this time that Nayru came into contact with the child queen Iosif. It was clear the fae knew very little about leadership or even their own goddess. Convicted, the Imperial femme offered to become the Clan's priestess and trainer. Iosif was wise enough to accept the offer, though Nayru suspects her reasoning was mostly for the gold rather than to serve their great Mother.

Ever since, Nayru has all but taken of the small, nameless clan of light. Most of their number are from all over, those Iosif gathered to suit herself. Ru was devastated to find the state of many of the hatchlings in the group and took them into her own care as well. Many in the family group now turn to her as leader, allowing Iosif to keep her title merely to keep her occupied. Nayru doesn't mind in the slightest- it makes her mission to lead and train for the Lightweaver all the simpler.
