B I O G R A P H Y
 
Tantalizing aromas floated through the air. Sultry spices and aromatic herbs danced delightedly on the senses until mouths watered and stomachs rumbled in greed. Beneath complex layers of scent was a palpable warmth as the steam from numerous sizzling, frying, and grilling items were put to the heat and coaxed under expert care into irresistible meals. Jani moved around her territory, the kitchen, with confident and graceful ease. Her brow was knitted ever so slightly as she focused on the timing of her tasks. Her tail was still behind her, as were her wings, and her ears were carefully trained toward the sounds of the food as certain ones would change the tone of their sizzle when perfectly ready. She flicked her tongue over the pad of her thumb to taste the broth she was tending and smiled to herself before removing it from the heat and then turning toward the next part. When everything was prepared, Jani let out a sigh of satisfaction and then brought the steaming plates and platters out for her clanmates to enjoy. Very little else made her as happy as cooking for those closest to her, watching their faces light up whenever they liked her new dishes, knowing that not only was she filling their bellies, but they were thoroughly enjoying every moment and morsel. It always motivated her to try a little harder, to experiment a little more daringly when she might otherwise hold back. After all, she cared for them, and cooking was not only her passion but a way that she might be able to express that to them. While everyone ate, Jani enjoyed her own meal. Frigid at her side was doing his best not to glower too much at the ruckus, she could tell, but she smiled and pushed his soup closer to encourage him and after he was diligently digging in she engaged with Crepe about his new rolls and bread -- some of which he had brilliantly made crunchy with various insects or nuts, and others he had sweetened with different berries. Of course, the crepe-wrapped fish pastries were going over well, too. When the meal was over and Jani had finished cleaning and preparing for the next day she snuggled in against her mate's side contently. As she drifted off she wondered what new recipes she might come up with soon and if they would help her friends and clanmates do their best. Lore by Wystaria
