Biography
Name: Yachel
Subspecies: Fossil
The fossilized remains of long dead dragons, risen once again. Dirt clings to their bones instead of flesh and sloughs away as they move. The moisture levels in the soil the originated from greatly affects their coloration.
Terrain Type: Yachel arose from a sandy embankment where the previous owner of her bones passed away. The dragon's old armaments were still nearby, polished bright by the waves of the sand against them. When she stood, she found that whoever had buried the original bones had planted a sapling atop them to secure their loved one from the shifts of the dessert. The roots had grown deep into her bones, and there they stay, subsiding on the magic coursing through her. The tree blooms every spring, and seems to follow the natural seasons.
Occupation: Yachel is a mage and a gardener. She uses her abilities to nourish the flora near the clan's camp, which improves their gathering yields. She and her mate Blight are also dedicated to bringing more of their kin into the world, and are working hard to populate the realm with shambling bones and dust. As they cannot breed, they instead find the bones of the untimely fallen, and give to them the gift of another life.
Yachel always remembers the day she found her bones. The moon was high and full, the dessert winds blew harshly, and when one moment ago she didn't exist, suddenly she was there.
There was the driving need to fly, and the biological imperative to hunt, but nothing matched her curiosity about this new physical form. She spent hours studying herself, bending in all directions to see the shape of her bones. She drove a bony claw tip through her rib cage, and watched as the dirt rearranged around it. Only once she was satisfied with her inspection did she see to her other needs.
