Spire has long since left her home near the Beacon of the Radiant Eye after discovering that her dreams of becoming exalted to serve at her Goddess's side forever would not come true, as she was gravely injured in battle against the neighboring Shadow clans, attempting to forcefully assimilate them into members of the Light Flight.

Traveling for many, many years, Spire eventually came in contact with Clan Seeker and, seeing the error of her old ways, decided on serving as a representative of the Light dragons who seek to help stop the Plaguebringer's destructive rampage across northern Sornieth.

Though she's put down her ornate rapier decades ago in favor of the arcane arts, Spire has taken Rey under her wing and serves as the young Pearlcatcher's mentor and tutor in the art of the sword.
