Venus

Venus has been adopted by the clan Ancients, Arbalest and Molvira Cineres--making him the clan's prince and future leader. His advisers have set up several potential matches for him, but he has shown very little interest.

There are two sides to Venus. First, there is the kind, thoughtful, and energetic side; then, there is the cruel hunter. As a hatchling, Venus was a Mirror dragon, and was soon subjected to peculiar magic that altered him. He is in a constant struggle to keep his personalities in check, and while the kind side typically wins, there are times when his inner beast claws its way out.

Venus retained the heat-sensing vision of the Mirror, as well as its taste for meat and seafood. He tolerates the taste of vegetation to keep up appearances, but often gives in to the compulsions of the mirror he once was. As such, he is an excellent runner, but a clumsy flier. He favors physical combat over the use of spells.

He greatly enjoys artwork, but finds the process of creating such pieces frustrating, and instead pursues writing poems and short stories. He finds the din of a hammer against heated steel to be therapeutic. He has become a blacksmith for the clan, and resigns himself to admiring the artwork of others.
