Biography
Coral has been crafting toys since her youth, and has continued to expand on her creations from then on. Whether it be dolls, puppets, figurines, or even familiars, she is always delighted to make another dragon happy with her craft. An authentic Coral toy or familiar can be easily identified, as her insignia is magically carved onto everything that she makes. She is only ever found in her workshop located in the Tsunami Flats, closest to the cliff sides of the Highland Scrub.
Recently, Coral has become well known for her creation of dragon prostheses, something she began dabbling in after meeting Celyn, an Imp who lost his ability to fly. Intrigued by his personality, Coral felt a strong desire to help him recover in any way that she could. After many failures, she eventually succeeded with artificial leather in replacement of flight feathers, and that feeling of accomplishment she felt when Celyn could fly again inspired her to pursue this new craft.
Working as a prosthetist, many lives have been restored and improved because of Coral's work. Her workshop serves as a rehabilitation center for patients being fitted with a prosthesis, though a small corner of it still remains as the toy store it once was. The income from her toy business allows her to never have to charge a patient for their prosthesis, though she'll accept any donations that come.
Coral is constantly experimenting with a variety of materials in order to create the best prostheses available. Whatever it is that she needs to make, her prostheses end up as unique as the dragon that they're made for. She won't ever set her work aside until she feels like she's perfected whatever it is that she's crafting, always pressing for that last detail or adjustment, but the amount effort she puts into her prostheses certainly pays off.
She earned her nickname as the marionette because she's subsequently used her own body for her research, warping her physique beyond the physical. A peculiar combination of fine engineering blended with her own magic, it's difficult to distinguish what parts of her may be real or artificial. Truthfully, she's never been more comfortable in her own body.
These body parts are parts of plans
passed by my hands, my hands,
my hands shake through handshakes,
forsaken by my limbs.

Jojo the Ball-Jointed Bogsneak Goofy / Cheerful / Easily Startled What began as an experiment to create a marionette that could be moved without strings left her with a sentient toy. It was by accident that she breathed life into this marionette, but it quickly became an exciting little curiosity among her customers. Coral continues to create these familiars by request, but there is something special about Jojo, the first one she ever made. |
