Aubrey is a magician of impressive skill, specializing in fire and sleight of claw. She has a rabbit familiar named Dr. Harris Bonkers (PhD) and a monster girlfriend who came from another universe named Dani. She also has a connection to a goddess called Sylvain, who is responsible for some of the immense power she wields.

When she was young, a group of thieves invaded her ancestral family lair. Aubrey woke up and began to instinctually channel extremely powerful fire magic to repel them. Unfortunately, this also caused Aubrey to black out and the lair to burn down around her. Though one of the thieves, feeling guilty, saved Aubrey, most of the dragons died. From then, Aubrey wandered across Sornieth, using illusions and sleight of claw to make a living as a magician. However, her magic grew stronger and started to come out when she did not want it to. After an incident with her powers, she met a dragon named Mama who brought her to Paradox in order to master her abilities. There, she found a new family, and joined a group of monster hunters called the Pine Guard.

The Pine Guard is a group of dragons sworn to protect a mysterious gate to another universe, one of the few naturally-occurring stable portals in Sornieth. Unfortunately, it has similar problems to the Rift- it's a weak point, so Abominations try to come through, and it's powerful, so it must be guarded. Thankfully, the Pine Guard have established a SEP Field around the Gate, and only those who know that it is there are able to see it. The Guard mostly focuses on destroying the Abominations that cluster near the Gate.
