Isildur is a young tundra with his heart set on proving himself worthy to his dad. Out of his siblings, he is the only loyal one still left. He joined by his mother’s and father’s side, learning the ways of leadership. Isildur contradicted himself one evening at his lowest time when of his closest brother Seamus left to serve under the Arcanist. It tore him to shreds, and he considered leaving home and joining him. But a kind Imperial, young-at-heart, named Pele lifted him from the depths of his wallowing within his own head. She too, felt the grief of losing close ones to their deities. She was new to this clan, and Isildur was the first she turned to. They both felt for each other, with their losses and primal eyesight. He has her to thank, for he is grateful that he didn’t leave, because then he wouldn’t have met Pele. Isildur is now strong as ever, working by his Dad’s side, showing his leadership skills, so that one day he may take on his father’s role.

Encounters:

Meeting Pele
Isildur’s cold talons scraped repetitive gauges into the tough stone. Anxiety gnawed at the edges of his heart. He never realized how overwhelming grief and emptiness could be. The waves of emotion couldn’t fill the now empty pieces, but surely would drown him without a doubt. Alone he sat in his cave room, missing his brother. “Why does it hurt so?” he pondered aloud. He rested his weary maw on the floor beneath his paws, a single tear brimming over his eyelid. Seamus had left Isildur alone to go serve the deities, but Isildur didn’t want to leave his parents. Everyone except for him had left them alone, and if he left too Mother would crumble. He couldn’t bear do that to her. His eyes flickered in his exhausted gaze as his consciousness dipped: he was on the verge of falling asleep.

But before he fell asleep he heard slow, full wingbeats in the corridor accompanied by shallow bickering that sounding like low growls emitting from the pit of Isildur’s stomach. Knocking just a few feet away from him wretched his eyes open, alert of danger. Or maybe even his brother Seamus. Much to his surprise, he found a soft eyed Imperial, (he found the flames gentle as they licked at the stale underground air) at his door. Hey body painted a mute grey while the fiery orange dress and spitting, flaming halo brightened her aura.
“Isildur?” she spoke softly, and Isildur weren’t looking to her moving lips, he wouldn’t have noticed her talking. “Who are you?” Isildur returned the tone. “Pele, you do not know me, for I am new here, but I know you.” Pele answered neatly.

He untensed his fur, letting out his breath. “What do you want?” he snapped. “I have things to do.” He considered wallowing a hobby. He rolled over onto his side, his back facing Pele. “Doesn’t look like your doing much at all. Sulking won’t bring him back, neither will cutting yourself off from everybody. Isildur, I know how you feel. It hurts, I know, but you can’t hurt others. Nobody gets anywhere that way.” Pele treaded toward Isildur. “Well what reason do you have to care? You’re new, how much do you actually know? You’re like everyone else. You try to husk the shell while the inside is still mending.”, Isildur said. He raised his head to look at her out of the corner of his eyes and she stopped in place.

"I lost them too. Siblings. Friends. Anyone close. I shut myself away once, tried not to get too close, too attached, in fear of getting hurt over again. Until someone picked me off of my sorry talons and told me to do something. Now I’m returning the favor.”
“No,” Isildur stated. “I don’t need you nor will I ever.” “What?” Pele said, taken aback by his rejection. She walked to his side, looking his in his eyes while her avoided her hard, heavy gaze. “I will not take no for an answer.” “I said no.” Isildur got to his feet turning to meet her eyes. They were mesmerizing, chaos imbued within them but serenity and calmness overwhelmed him into submission. “I can’t, I’m just not strong enough.” Isildur hiccupped, on the verge of crying. “Isildur…” Pele cooed, giving her shoulder to him for his giant tears. “Your brother would say you’re strong enough. Don’t let him down. Don’t underestimate yourself. Got it?” A muffled “Mhm’ with subtle nodding let her know he agreed. Stifled sobs echoed in her mane. She pried him from her shoulder, brushed him off, and let him to his father. Isildur told his father his plans, to follow in his footstep and grow worthy of the role. As days turned into weeks, and then into hours, he felt love and compassion for Pele, unlike any other feeling before. They’ve worked together, side by side, teaching the fledglings of the clan and worthy deeds.
