Biography
Wight was once a sibyl in the Hewn City. Her name and past are mostly lost to her, memories now wisps, fragments of the Lightweaver's voice in her bones. She remembers Chainsaw though, the manic glow of his eyes in near-trance as he exalted the line of tributes to the Shadowbinder. Wight rejected the exaltation, refusing to serve the Shadowbinder after a lifetime of channeling the will of her own goddess. Unwilling to leave her life behind, she clung to reality; latched onto the fragile edge of Chainsaw's own spirit and dragged herself back to the nearest empty vessel. Wight whispered rage using Nebula's voice, borrowing his body long enough to threaten Chainsaw and collect herself into something more stable.
Stuck.
A living ghost, shadow sick. Unwilling to serve the Shadowbinder and unable to serve the Lightweaver, Wight haunts Chainsaw.
Some of the other supernaturally attuned dragons are aware of her, at least psychically. Lotus speaks of her in visions, and Tinsel recorded her story once when Nebula offered himself as her temporary voice. A few other than Chainsaw--namely, Rusty and Hinoto--see Wight. She took up the form of a skydancer in a broken pattern of shadows but for the remnants of her light scrawled across her body in pale glowing runes. Chainsaw has no idea which body she inhabited before (he exalts so many in this clan), and Rusty muses that if Wight was not a skydancer before, it is probably Chainsaw's fault she is now.
In truth, Wight lives with more anger than vengeance. She's still making sense of what she's become, and after the blinding fury subsides she recognizes that revenge won't undo what's been done. For now, Wight confronts her situation with a relatively hostile attitude of, 'If I'm stuck here, you're going to deal with me.'
Chainsaw finds Wight fascinating.
Wight finds Chainsaw vexing.
Her general existence while this whole ghost thing is still new, is leaning toward trying to get a rise out of an impassive dragon who just finds her tremendously interesting. If she felt even a fraction of the enraptured curiosity for him that Chainsaw directs at her, their barbed banter might read much less unfriendly.
