"Alright lets see here.... 4 packs of standard lightning., and one of the arcane variety.. now to get them... hhmmm....I wonder what's happening over there?"

___Introduction
A member of the Lightning Collector sub-specie, River is neither a day nor night collector, rather she has been trained as a Traveler, specializing in the storms of the Starfall Isles, and the chaotic lightning energy that surges over the lands sporadically. She alternates between the lands of the Arcanist and the StormCatcher, and as such has been trained as a fighter to help protect her during these trips.

Personality
Athletic • Stubborn • Reserved Nosy • Brave Like many of her subspecies, River is highly athletic, spending much of her time chasing the storms to collect the lightning from them; she's also brave, charging though the storms with what can seem to be reckless abandon and that includes the wilder chaotic energies of the Starfall Isle storms. She's also perfectly willing to fight off thieves if they attempt to steal her collection of lightning, and has been known to charge through a pack of hungry mirrors. River is also exceptionally nosy, always curious about whats going on anywhere, though it is hidden behind the reserved 'mask' that she's been trained to, so while it may seem shes not interested, she is. River has also been called stubborn more times than she cares to admit, mainly by those who have trained her. |

Length: 4.6m • Wingspan: 7.32m Weight: 416.38kg River is on the smaller side of the average length for a wildclaw, though this has no impact on her physical fitness, infact she finds it better that she is on the smaller side, with normal sized wings as she expands less energy when collecting lightning. Due to how physically active she is, River's weight is less than normal for a female wildclaw, though she eats more than enough that many think she should be heavier than she is. River wears the apparel most common for her subspecies, though she's chosen to also wear the deepsea bulb and blue clawtips. both of which glow the more powerful the lightning she has collected is. The Electric Nymph was given to River by Rehtaeh, Clan FellWing's lightning diplomat as both a welcome present and to help her in her duties, this nymph helps collect electricity, she even has her own 'pack' to transfer it into. |

_________________________________________________________________ ___History River was born in a small clan in the Highland Scrub, but from birth she was fascinated with the storms that she could spy in the distance, and she could often be found out in it when they hit over the area the clan lived in. It was a merchant that had come to the clan to trade that made a comment about her colors, how they were those of a lightning collector, a sub-species that dwelled deeper within the shifting expanse. River's parents traveled to where the merchant advised, and met up with a Chii, the original Lightning collector; who explained to them and to a young River what exactly becoming one would entail. River was eager, for lightning had always fascinated her; and she left her parents to join Chii. The road to becoming a Lightning Collector was not easy though, for though River's color matched those required by the subspecies, her genes were not the breeds standards, and she was required to undergo engineering so that she would be most efficient when collecting the lightning. Though painful. and drawn out River went through the process and at a pace that was considered dangerous. Finally after several days, her re-engineering was complete, and her body fully optimized to collect the lightning; she was placed under Chii's tutelage, for like the older wildclaw, River was neither a night nor day collector, but of the mixed variant. As time passed, Chii and Solace began to work with River, preparing her for her next assignment, that of a traveler. Recent contact with a clan that dwelled within the Starfall Isles opened up an opportunity for the Lightning Collectors to collect samples of the arcane affected lightning. In return for lodging and food within its borders, a single container of lighting would be given free of charge for the clans use, and if any more are needed they'd be sold at a discounted price. She was escorted to end of the Shifting Expanse by the sub-species guards, where she was met by a small party from Clan FellWing, Rehtaeh, the lightning diplomat as well as one of the clans sentinals, Adaryn; the nocturne gifted her with an Electric Nymph as a welcoming present, before the three set of the Observatory. Since then, River alternates her time between the Starfall Isles and the Shifting Expanse collecting and gathering lightning; normally shes able to give it to the delivery dragons of the subspecies, but if she has gathered too much and needs to send extra she arranges for a courier from the clan she lives with to deliver it. One thing she has had to adjust (with help from a Lightning Collecter Engineer) is the equipment used to store the arcanic lightning, due ti its highly chaotic and unstable nature. |

Intern and Nami are Rivers parents, and she is forever grateful to them for giving her a chance to apply to be a Lightning Collecter, though she has had almost no contact with them since she was a hatchling.
River looks up to Chii as her mentor, and in some aspects surrogate mother, it is the older wildclaw that River goes to for any advice or help, River hopes that she has made Chii proud in the work she has done since becoming a lightning collector. Storm is one of the newer additions to the subspecies, but one who's genetic bloodline is as much a rarity as the females; as he has no known ancestors. Given the increasing amount of attempted thefts on merchants and travelers of the subspecies, Chii and Solace decided to pair Storm up with River as her personal guard, with advanced training currently ongoing between River's travels. Whilst the subspecies rarely breed, or pair out of love, there has been minimal resistance to the fact that River and Storm are deeply fond of one another, rather their offspring are highly desired. Other than Chii, Storm is Rivers closest friend, and she trusts him completely. Cataclysm is one of her first hatchlings; and she is exceptionally proud of the young skydancer, and is both honoured and flattered by his willingness to assist her in the arcane lands in which she is assignned. River is still nosy about his life literally wanting to know every single detail. |
