Second Generation Male, beloved son of Duskshadow and Moondust. He takes after his Dad in coloration and personality both...except, of course, for his love of the color blue.
An absent-minded professor type, he would much rather be studying the heavens then engaging in anything on the ground…unless, of course, his daughters are nearby. This doting Dad has not yet grasped the concept of the word “no.” (As was aptly demonstrated when he started frequenting a certain Pound at the request of his offspring, and ended up bringing a great many familiars home to the startled Clan.) Fortunately, Sunfire is usually keeping an eye—and a claw—on the situation.
9-4-14: His friend the Ruby Webwing has Awakened! The bird is happy to know Moonshadow, but seems a bit restless...
9-5-14: After only a day, the Ruby Webwing has decided that he wants to explore a bit outside the clan, though he will, of course, never stray too far from his beloved companion. Moonshadow is enjoying himself watching his friend have fun... and in the meantime he has made the acquaintance of a Bluemoon Aviar...
12-2-14: The Bluemoon Aviar has Awakened! Unlike his companion familiar the Ruby Webwing, the Aviar seems content to stay with Moonshadow for a bit... though he may also do some scouting around the caves every once in a while, to make sure that no Beastclans are lurking nearby.....
1-20-15: The Aviar has gone scouting, and Moonshadow is investigating a strange chest-like Ectoplasmine creature that somehow got into his area of the caves....
4-20-15: The Ectoplasmine has grown larger... and stronger... or at any rate its' bite has.... it seems that the strange creature has Awakened! What on Sornieth will it do now? And what will Moonshadow do with it? Everything he puts inside has a tendency to disappear....
5-21-15: While studying the heavens, Moonshadow noticed an interesting rabbit crouching nearby doing the same thing.... now he and the Irradiated Astronomer are inseparable! Maybe they'll find a new constellation together....
8-19-15: No new constellations yet, but the Irradiated Astronomer has Awakened! Perhaps now his explorations of the stars will be a little more fruitful....
12-25-15: Much to Moonshadow's delight, Corona, his oldest daughter, has emerged from her strange obsession with books with a vengeance. The young bibliophile has adopted a handsome little Tundra, who will need his grandfather in his life to help him with all the things that female dragons just don't understand....
8-22-16: Things are always in constant flux in the Clan, and the sudden inclusion of a Fire Goblin into the familiar ranks has some of Moonshadow's companions worried. Both the Ruby Webwing and the Irradiated Astronomer have decided to take an extended holiday into the Vault. Perhaps they are concerned that he might be next to acquire a Goblin?--And that that new companion might like to dine on Birds or Rabbits? Regardless, they have made their choice, and Moonshadow wishes them well....
9-26-16: It appears that the Webwing and Rabbit were smarter than the Clan knew, as Moonshadow has, indeed, acquired a Goblin...and the Enchanting Goblin does seem to like to dine on various meats. Fortunately, the rest of Moonshadow's companions are in no danger from a young meat-eater. The Ectoplasmime is simply not edible to it, and the Bluemoon Aviar only had to show his claws once before the little one backed off. After this somewhat rocky start the Goblin seems to be adjusting well to life in the Clan....
1-26-17: Much to Moonshadow's chagrin, he managed to get himself roped into competing in the Sornieth Winter Games this year at the Crystalline Gala. The poor Tundra had gone to the Southern Icefield in the hopes of finding a nice clear space to stargaze--the frigid temperatures are always the best for seeing stars, after all. Unfortunately for his plans, however, his daughters begged him to come and watch the Games. Upon arriving they discovered that one of the main prizes was a Mantarune--but in order to have a chance to acquire it the Clan had to compete in all 5 competitions offered. And when Neptunia saw that "big, beautiful, blue fish," well, that's where the trouble started. Though it wouldn't have been so bad if the Clan's resident skier hadn't broken her wing in practice... 2-2-17: While waiting for his scores from the Games, Moonshadow has been playing with his new friend the Enchanting Goblin.... and said Goblin has now Awakened! Moonshadow is very pleased for his friend. And perhaps this is a good omen for the Games? He can only hope....
2-3-17: Moonshadow did not, in fact, win the Ski Jump. Apparently, despite the fact that he did not actually faceplant in the snow, his scores were still not high enough for a medal. Oh, well. He tried, and as long as Neptunia is happy--and she is--then so is he.....
4-5-20: Recently, there have been some changes in the Vault, and some of the older familiars are starting to re-emerge and return to their dragons. No one is sure if this because of the recent magical chaos in the Clan Lair, or for some other, less worrisome, reason, but Moonshadow, for one, is not complaining, and neither, it seems, is his old companion the Ruby Webwing, who has taken up his old place in the caves as if he had never left at all…
