S T O R Y
Some say the very shadows whisper rumors and happenings from afar into the Shadowbinder's ears, bringing news from lands the great deity did not walk. They're almost right. A small organisation of dragons travel far and wide and settle themselves in distant clans, welcomed because of their pretty scales and alluring demeanor. They begin learning and absorbing the knowledge and plans from the unknowing dragons around them, before sending on the knowledge through coded scrolls messaged directly to the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. They are the true Shadowbinder's eyes and ears. They are the Spies of the Shadowbinder. Vulpii is a truly fervent follower of her Deity and Commander, the Shadowbinder. As a young trainee, she kept herself secluded away, sacrificing any social life she made have had with the other hatchlings for the sake of her studies. Even if she hadn't she would have more learning to be done as she carried the Blessing, and could take the shape of a fox with pink-red whiskers like her mother. She spent many many hours honing her natural ability and her stealth skills. Before long she was one of the most expert spies among the trainees, and was sent out to spy on her first clan while still fairly young. It was based in a small archipelago just off the coast of Focal Point, and was one of the leading clans developed for studying the growth of the Crystalspine Reaches. Her main assignment was to find out more of the spontaneous growth of the radioactive mountain range and keep an ear out for dominance plans. She slipped herself into the clan life smoothly, acting as the main ambassador for Shadow. This also gave her the excuse she needed to return home and report at frequent intervals, and it would not be surprising for the clan when her assignment was over and she went home for good. She made a point to blend in and be sociable, and it did not take much time for her face to be a common sight and as such blend into the backdrop. When the occasions arose that it would be suspicious for her to be there (Council Meeting, etc.) she shapeshifted into a fox and kept watch in that form, her small body easily disguised under some natural flora. Her assignment went superbly well... until an extremely smart arcane scholar worked out who she was. |
