Her pale eyes stare unseeing, her brow furrowed as though listening intently. She glides one paw across the page, hovering just above its surface, a faint mist swirling around her with a soft glow. She reads the words aloud in her velvet voice. The hatchlings clustered around her lean in close, enraptured. They love story time with the blind sphynx- she's the best at doing the voices.

Even with her sight long gone, Crow is the best librarian a clan could ask for. She knows the convoluted pathways of her library by heart, remembers every one of her visitors. She can still read via a modified scrying spell woven into her jewelry. A gentle soul, Crow hosts a twice-weekly story time for the young ones in the clan. Recently, Pine has started joining in on story time- they alternate stories, or he does the deeper voices. The kids love them both.

She was among the first to join the clan, the first non-dragon as well. She founded the library, back when her eyes were as sharp as her wit, and collected hundreds of books and scrolls over the years. It was from one of the stranger books she summoned the creature who would become her wife. It was old and enchanted, and it reacted with Crow's magic, and thus Norrow sprung from its pages. The spirit was confused and angry, but Crow calmed her.

Crow has two seeing eye animals- her raven Watcher, and her dog Seer. She doesn't need them while in the library, so they spend much of their time napping in their own little areas. Seer works as most seeing eye dogs do, but Watcher works a little differently- Crow can scry through the eye on its chest. She sometimes send it out after those with very overdue books.

Crow is well aware that the library is haunted. In fact, she is one of the only ones to speak directly to the ghost, even calling them a friend. The ghost is harmless, a mere child, only wanting to learn and play, and Crow is happy to humor them.
