Biography
Lykaia is a dragon with a rough, long, and dark past. She could tell countless horror stories and cautionary tales. If she didn't meet questions about her past with hard, silent, almost soul burning stares. It's clearly something she much rather not get into if she didn't have to. Or at least, with strangers.
She keeps the peace and guards the clan with her Uncle Sparrow and her Aunt Cardia. She's a lot like her aunt in this regard; strong, silent, stoic, and only really having a few choice words if dragons really ticked her off or are being especially stupid. Thats where her similarities with her aunt begins and ends though. She has a far more even temper, and is a little (read: far) brighter than her. She also gets along far more with her Uncle, much to her aunts chargin'.
Sparrow in turn, is painfully protective of his niece. He's one of the few dragons, ever, to know the full extent of her past and current pains and sorrow. Only he and one other have seen her moments of weakness. Waking up from night terrors, the need to curl up against the safe warmth of another dragon and weep, and the days where she can't seem to bring herself out of her den till well into the day. Her loved ones remind her that she's not weak for these moments, that even the strongest crack and crumble, and sometimes need to break before building themselves back up even better than before. She's grateful to them.
This one other dragon is her lifemate. It's still strange to her, having a mate. She has tried a couple of times to take a mate, mostly cause she felt she needed to given her past position in her long lost clan, so having one for no other reason than love is...odd. Odd, but good. SongBird is endlessly patient with Lykaia, and loves her dearly. It's not uncommon to see them off in private, seeing SongBird lovingly coiled around her beloved's neck to just serenade her.
SongBird is the only dragon that can break Lykaia's stoic mask, and make her smile from a place of authenticity and joy.
They dug themselves out of the earth when they awoke.
Lykaia was first to awake, after the mirror shattered, freed from their world like waking up from a bad nightmare. She waited long enough to see her fellow clanmates stir and then she was gone.
Whether shame or fear, she fled. They never saw her left, only waking up and knowing that she and Saeva Renatus were gone. They tried to find her, tracking her, but she had vanished without a trace. They had tried familiar haunts but she was long gone, nowhere to be found.
They accepted she was lost, and they decided to move on.
When it was silent, when everything was over and she was sure she was free. She returned home.
Not to Plague, not to Lightning, but to Nature.
