Biography

Others are scared of him
Mostly because of his looks
But because of his name as well
Some will yell "DEVIL!" at him
Really a sweet, kind, shy soul
Tries to hide the brambles that have infected his body
Clan mates are understanding
Hangs out with Finn a lot
Considers him his best friend
Loves peaches
Hyperion can be annoying sometimes, but Luci can't deny he has.. Some feelings for the male
The clan consider them an inseparable trio

Poor baby, can I just hug him?
Someone just give this boy a hug for pete's sake!

Ask a Dragon questions:
One

gentle, guilty smiles
heavy hearts and equally heavy paws
comfort brings sleepy blinks, languid movements
lies made of molasses. too sweet and entrapping
thorns uncomfortably bite into flesh, but blood refuses to swell
there is a message in the rain
torn feathers, the soft underside of a dove's wing
pools of milky waters, blossoming lily pads, a waterfall roars
a melodic hum, a fair, silken brow
tired aches
it's hard to escape the cold

Beautiful poem by Sillywinter

This was very hard for me to write, so be happy that I didn't just stop >> Cus I was thinking about it

He wasn't born like this. He wasn't born a monster. Everyone loved the small, happy-go-lucky Imperial. His personality could rival the sun itself it was so bright. It was fitting that he was born into the Light flight.

"Mama?" He asked. "Why'd ya name me Lucifer?" His mom chuckled softly, stroking his newly formed mane.

"Lucifer means 'Morning Star,' my darling. And you are my star" She told him, a fond smile on her lips.

"But, isn't is also the name of the devil.." He asked hesitantly.

"You mustn't forget, that the devil was once an angel. And you, my little star, are my angel."

He often looks back at this memory. The memories before the infection. The memories before he turned into this.. Monster. This. Devil. It hurt him to have these.. Things plague his conscience. Intrude on his personal space. He got use to the pain though. He became numb. He just wishes his emotions could do the same.

It started as a small black dot on his right shoulder. The healers said it was nothing to worry about. Until it spread. They didn't know what it was, or how to cure it. This was dark magic, a curse.

"We're sorry.. We can't do anything for him." The healer told his mother, who broke into tears. Lucifer was her baby, her angel, her star.

"Will it- W-will it take his life?" She hiccuped out, looking at her child as he played with a small toy.

He shook his head. "I can't tell you that. Just.. Spend every moment you can with him. You never know when it may be your last." He put his claws on her shoulder, giving her some comfort.

He remembers that day. It was one of the best in his life. His mother and himself went out for a walk into the small forest near the clan. She had taken him out for his favorite treat, peaches. She let him eat how many he wanted, not caring if he complained about a stomach ache after. If it meant she'd get to spend time with him, then so be it.

The "brambles" as he called them, only grew. Soon, they engulfed his chest, earning weird looks from his clan mates. He was in pain, but he saw how his mother was everyday. She was miserable. Sorrowful about what could happen to her son. So, he stayed strong. For her.

Mom. Are.. You ok?" He was older now, not nearly near mature, but old enough he could probably thrive by himself.

She looked at him, giving him a weak smile. "Yes, my star. I'm fine." She said, nuzzling him into her side. She loved moments like this. She remembered that he was there, alive still.

"Y'know, if anything ever happens you can tell me, right?" He broke her train of thought. "Even if it involves me." He said, gazing into his mothers eyes.

"I will angel. I will."

The more he grew, the more the brambles did. And the more they grew, the more they clouded his conscience. other dragons his age, and some older teased him about his appearance, calling him names. He didn't let them get to him, except for one. Devil.

He tried to ignore the names, especially devil. They kept berating him about the brambles, and then his teeth. They started growing wildly, making Lucifer look even more like a monster. That's when he decided to cover up as much as he could.

"My star? While I'm not complaining, why did you put such a heavy coat on? It's the middle of summer." Mother asked, tilting her head.

"Oh uh.." He thought about telling her the truth. Would she be mad for not telling her sooner? He shook his head. "I've been getting teased.. About the brambles." Lucifer lowered his head, slightly disappointed. "I'm gonna start covering it up." He teared up.

"Oh honey." She rushed to his side, hugging him and keeping a protective wing on him. "Don't you listen to them. They're nothing but rotten eggs." She said, lifting his head. She smiled at him, wiping away his tears. "Just know, that things get better. As a wise dragon once told me 'Whoever is trying to bring you down, is already below you.'" She nuzzled his head under her chin.

He continued this, first his body, then his neck, head. He couldn't do much about his wings though. He rarely flew, and if he did it was alone. It was hard, the brambles that creeped up his wings made them stiff. The muscles were almost always sore, not only from being folded all the time, but from the thorns that made home in them.

She was sick. He knew this. He could sense it since that day. That day that she fell. Luckily he had been home and found her quick.

"Mom, lets go! It's time for your check up." He yelled, hearing her shuffle through the den.

"I'm coming angel." She said weakly, accepting the wing he held out to her. "Let's get this over with. You know how much I hate the doctors." She chuckled.

"I know mom." He said, a small smile on his lips. "But, if something's seriously wrong, we need to know."

"I know my star." She said simply.

That was the day that his world shattered. They'd learned that she had a measly four months to live. The healer had told him what he told his mother on that day. Spend every moment you can with her. You never know when it may be your last. He hated those words. Hated the hidden venom laced within them.

He spent everyday with her. He stopped what ever lessons he had, stopped hanging out with his "friends," and even stopped caring about the brambles. She only got worse.

"Mom? Do you want to eat?" Lucifer asked his mother, a sad smile gracing his presence.

"No honey." She coughed. "I'm not hungry." She was bed ridden at this point. If he had the courage to put her out of her misery, he would do it in a heart beat. He remembered when his mom was the funniest person he knew. When she would fly with him or go for a walk with him. And now, she was a completely different dragon.

With a soft sigh, Lucifer nodded his head. "Ok, but you have to eat something here soon. I brought you your favorite tea." He placed the cup on the stand, smiling when she reached for it.

"Thank you angel." He smiled and he proceeded to lay with her. It was his turn to take care of her..

That was his last day with her. She passed on in her sleep that night. While she was at peace now, Lucifer had lost his rock, the only thing that was keeping him grounded.

And she was gone.

He said one last goodbye to his mother, before leaving. He flew for as long as he could, as far as he could. His wings grew tired, his mind a mess. He flew lower and lower, until he crashed.

"Mother, you probably won't hear me.. Or maybe you will.." He choked out a sob. "why'd you have to leave!" He slammed a fist on the ground, nuzzling his head under his mothers one last time. "I can't do this without you.." He whispered.

He woke up in an odd place, this isn't where he crashed.

"Oh good, you're awake! You took a terrible fall." A voice sounded to his right. He tried to speak, though his throat was horribly dry. "Oh, h-here.." A blue, frosty looking Tundra stepped out of the shadows, handing Lucifer a glass of water.

He grabbed it gratefully, downing it quickly. "T-thank you." He said quietly. He was still reeling about the recent events. She's gone.. She's really gone.. He played with his claws, feeling nothing but sadness.

The Tundra nodded. "I'm uh.. I'm Finn! I watched you crash.. Luckily it wasn't too far from my clan so.." He stopped, looking at Lucifer's face. "A-are you ok?" He asked, his red eyes holding sympathy.

"I'm fine." Lucifer snapped. He shook his head immediately after. "I-I'm sorry.. I've had a bad day.." He said softly. He felt the gash in his leg, though he didn't care. He was mentally drained, drained to the point that he felt no pain.

"We should get you to medic.. He'll have that wound fixed right up!" The Tundra said, giving the Imperial a smile. "My name's Finn, by the way.. May I ask yours?"

"...Lucifer." He mumbled with malice.

"Lucifer eh? That's a nice name." Finn gave him a smile, something Lucifer hadn't seen in a while. He turned to Finn, confusion written on his features.

"You-You're not.. Scared?" He asked, a little perplexed that Finn was being this nice to him. Not only a stranger, but one that looked like a monster.

"Why should I be? Because of your differences?" Finn questioned with a head tilt before his face contorted to that of sympathy. "I too am different.." His new found confidence flew out the window as he played with his claws. "I.."

"You don't have to tell me." Lucifer said, placing a soft claw on the Tundras shoulder. The blue dragon smiled before looking to the ground, his smile fading.

"I should though. B-but it's better that I show you." He said softly, taking one of his gloves off, nervously looking at Lucifer. He swallowed the frog that decided to make home in his throat and touched an apple laying near by. The apple was engulfed in frost, a marvelous sight to see. "I'm not.. A normal dragon. I'm part of a race, ancient beings called Jötunns. Frost giants." He let out a small chuckle. "Though that part isn't true. We're not giants. Just frosty."

Lucifer stared at the apple, a blank look in his eyes. Slipping the glove back on, Finn nudged Lucifer. "Come on, we should get you to the doctor." He said softly, earning a nod from Luci.

It had been sometime since he landed in the clan. The dragons here were nice, all of them treating him like any other dragon. He was thankful for this. Finn was helping him adjust to the new clan and how it works, becoming fast friends in the process.

At the moment, they were eating lunch at one of the more massive gardens. Not much was said between them, just soft understanding from each other. They simply enjoyed each others presence.

"Did you see the new Imperial that came by? He's so dreamy.." They over heard a pair of dragons chatting near them, a male and female. "Do you think he's single?" The female said.

"Girl, even if he was he's out of you league." The male joked, earning a playful slap from the other. This piqued the interest of Finn, who perked his ears as he looked at Lucifer.

"No.. I know what you're thinking. You can go find this mystery man, but I'll just stay behind." Lucifer huffed out, taking a bite out of his meat. Truth is, he was curious as well but he wasn't the best at meeting new people.

"Aw come on! It'll be good for you. I can't be the only dragon you talk to." He glanced around. "Plus who knows, he might like you.." He said with a wiggle of his eyebrows. Lucifer let out a tsk and turned away, making Finn giggle.

+++++

It was sometime later, Lucifer and Finn had parted ways, both returning to their respective dens. Lucifer, however, decided to take the long way home. He always enjoyed the gardens nearest the Court House. All of the gardens were nice, but it seemed that the gardens there were always kept more often.

His thoughts were quickly ripped from his mind as he collided with someone. Both of them were on the ground, letting out a small huff as they hit the ground. Lucifer was quick to apologize, scrambling to pick up the strangers loose papers.

"I-I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was walking.. I honestly didn't even know I was so close to the Court House.. I really should have been paying attention since I was on my way home, but honestly I wasn't ready to go home so I guess I was jus--" He was rambling, he knew it. The only thing that broke his ramble was a soft, light pink paw grabbed his.

"Agápi.. Slow down, you're talking yourself out of breath. It's fine, truly." It was then Lucifer looked up, blinking slowly. "Besides.. Bumping into you today has been one of the best things to happen today." He winked, smirking at Lucifer.

Panicking, Lucifer tore his hand out from the others hands, a heavy blush on his face. Does this dragon not see how hideous Lucifer is? Despite his flustered state, the other dragon continued.

"I suppose I should introduce myself. My name is Hyperion, I'm the new Historian for Uteffo Corvi." He stood, bowing slightly. He then offered a paw to Lucifer, offering to help him up. Once he was up, Lucifer introduced himself.
