Some say the very shadows whisper rumors and happenings from afar into the Shadowbinder's ears, bringing news from lands the great deity did not walk. They're almost right. A small organisation of dragons travel far and wide and settle themselves in distant clans, welcomed because of their pretty scales and alluring demeanor. They begin learning and absorbing the knowledge and plans from the unknowing dragons around them, before sending on the knowledge through coded scrolls messaged directly to the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. They are the true Shadowbinder's eyes and ears.

They are the Spies of the Shadowbinder.

Varik found the clan one night on a raid mission. The bright glow of fire and torches stretching around the base of a mountain caught his eye as he glided through the night sky. He posed as a lost dragon in attempt to gather information about the clan from the inside and report to the Shadowbinder. The dragons accepted him, but were wary. Varik acted strange and distant, never quite connecting or growing close with anyone else. Crimson was instructed to keep a close eye on him. However as time progressed Varik became uncertain. His loyalty to the Shadowbinder was unwavering. Unchangeable. But... perhaps this clan he would keep a secret.
