Biography
--
A scholar of the Lightweaver, Flindus Harpyfeather likes to spend her time in a small cave in the Mirrorlight Promenade, writing about her finding while digging for The Colony. However, under the veil, Flindus' Lightning eyes reflect the deserts of the Stormcatcher's region, where her egg was dropped in Harpy's Roost reflecting the electrical surges. Hatching alone and scared, her big Fae eyes and her little amount of magic helped her hunt for insects to survive. But after some time, she was spotted by a Masked Harpy, and was taken to their camp.
The Fae, now given the name of Flindus due to her flint coloring was looked after by the Harpies, taking part in their rituals and learning. However, Flindus took an interest in recording things. As a hatchling, she wrote down what both her adopted family and the nearby draconic camps did. An empty archive surrounded her mentality, and Flindus wanted to fill it up with everything she could know. Apart from the Harpy language she spoke naturally, she took the time to learn the dragon tongues, which was easy from the frills and hums of the Fae, to the harder language of the Coatls. The harpies decided that she would make a good ambassador, and that was the day that Flindus left her home for the first time to travel the world.
Her first stop was the Reedcleft Ascent. During her routine trip around the small clans telling them of peace between the Harpies and the Draconic kind, she stopped outside the lair of Gale Daybreeze. There, in a corner she spotted another Fae, Berceuse. She tried to communicate to him in her Fae tongue, but he didn't seem to respond. Whilst speaking in the Coatl that she slightly struggled at, Berceuse took an interest in the peace treaty. After some convincing, she stayed with Gale and Berceuse in the small lair while she went around the Wind region spreading the good news. After a while though, she had to go to another flight to alert them of the peace. But before Flindus left, Gale gave her a pendant. She never forgot this act of kindness, and waved the Coatl and Fae goodbye, off on her travels to spread the Harpy Peace. While in the Crystalspine Reaches, she became friends with a energetic but hotheaded fae going by the name of Allura. During this time, she decided to settle down and become the first member of the newly-formed Colony.
She loved her home, but Flindus felt like it was time to see the world and archive all the knowledge of their regions. With tears in her eyes, Flindus flew towards the sky, not knowing when she would return home to the small colony. For two and a half years the Fae traversed Sorneith, participating in their flight celebrations and archiving every last piece of news surrounding the elemental changes. But after so long, Flindus felt the need to return back home to The Colony. And even after so long away from her home, she was welcomed back with hugs and celebrations that lasted multiple days. She was finally home.
