The stench of raw meat was alluring to some and terrifying to others - and Noks carried it with him wherever he went.
Sticky paws left red stains on the ground as he walked, occasional drops of blood sliding down the exposed muscles of his flesh in a drizzling path. His chest heaved with pained effort, and if one had an eye keen enough they could glance past the opening between the blades of his rib cage and see the rhythmic thump... thump... thump... of a beating muscle.
A dragon of meat and bone - Noks was a worst nightmare to some, but an abomination to all.
The Mirror had no goal to his journey, wandering forward in defiance against all forces of nature. He was fond of the Icefields however - the chilly winds helped to keep his scent concealed, so that he could sneak up on unaware creatures and feast.
It was during one of those cold nights that his eyes landed on the shape of another - and oh, this one would not run. One look at the Wildclaw and Noks was aware immediately that something between them was shared, something vile and forbidden and uniquely exciting. Was this fortune, or would this be the day he meets his end, like he was meant to do so long ago?
The long muscle of his tongue poked up from beneath his hood as he swept it carefully across his boney nostrils, and then slowly rows of sharp teeth gleamed into a caricature of a smile. "You smell," he stated, his voice deep, gurgly and unnatural. "You smell like fun."
