Biography
Mani was the middle hatchling of his litter having older brother Tres and younger brother Sabor. They all loved currencies both because the looked pretty and because they could be used to buy stuff that made others jealous. Mani loved gold and started to dream about wearing clothes made out gold when he grew up. Upon leaving the hatchery the trio made their way to the money vault only to notice there were no information about anything. Nothing stated how much they had, nothing said how much they had gained where and nothing said how much money had been used on what. All three imperials thought someone needed to keep track of all of that and since no one else seemed interested they decided to take the job. Mani and Tres took the job to record money flow Tres counting how much they had while Mani counted how much they spent. Meanwhile Sabor tried to figure out where the clan had gotten its funds finding out it was mostly gotten from stealing or finding, fixing and selling stuff or animals and small amount of it was from mercenaries having went to serve their Deity. The clan having very few wanting to show off used money mostly to buy genes occasionally or festival items when they were on sale not really using it on anything else. Clan’s economy sounded decent until the water holiday arrived and the clan rushed to buy a lot of stuff spending a lot of treasure to buy stuff Mani saw no one using. After the holiday was over the amount of treasure had decreased greatly and they were getting the lost treasure back way too slowly for Mani’s liking. The brothers decided to fix that Tres taking the job of keeping track of money while Mani would start looking for stuff to sell and Sabor wanting to move to the Observatory would move in there and get them buyers from there. Mani scouted the lair to find anything seemingly useless and happened to stumble into clan’s Hoard that was full of old junk that no one used. Mani took as much he could carry and made his way to a somewhat busy route in where he sold them for a nice buck to travelers walking by. Tres was busy counting the already owned treasure when Mani came back and not wanting to give his brother too much work he decided to count his profits himself. While he was doing that the hoard manager Megan came to ask where he had gotten the treasure and he, being proud of what he had done, said it straight to her without actually looking at the fae. She seemed annoyed by that saying he had no permission to do that but Mani not understanding why he couldn’t sell junk for profit ignored her. However, one of her pets dared to bite him causing him to drop the treasure he was counting and Mani asked what was wrong with her not caring about her speech about rights and status. Their argument was stopped by Morgana the old guardian agreeing with the fae she telling Mani that he was only allowed to sell what was meant to be sold, and he was not allowed to keep the profits himself. Mani was rather annoyed that he had been denied the right to earn money and tried to steal stuff to sell Tres being against that. Mani though was sure he was justified the clan not needing the junk that was stored. However, Megan seemed to disagree and trained her elks to act like dogs. Mani could not compete with the animals and moved to find another way to earn money. While doing so he found some news about clans hiring dragons with certain attributes and Mani wondered if they could use that to earn money. Tres hated the idea but Mani was not willing to abandon it and kept thinking about how it would work. Some time after that, during lightning festival, clan’s smithy collapsed and the residents demanded funds to get it fixed. Due to the festival, however, they were rather low on cash, enough to fix the smithy but not enough to get them fancy stuff, and Mani wanting to fix that decided to put his plan in action. Megan was a hardworking dragon and someone would most likely pay nicely for her Mani sneaking to the Hoard Megan's elks fighting back as he tied them. Megan was easy to capture she being diurnal unlike rest of the clan and lived in a zalis nest hanging on her elks antlers. Mani just took the small sleeping dragon carefully and placed in a birdcage he had found in the Hoard once. Mani took Megan to Tres and went to look for someone else to pick up deciding to choose a smallish ridgeback Theia the geologist most likely having some work somewhere. She though ended up being harder to catch making much noise alerting their clan mates. She was a daughter’s daughter to clan’s leader Tinker she rushing to help her granddaughter. Mani was able to avoid her hits but Morgana came from another direction hitting him so hard he passed out for a moment. Mani was then dragged into the Crystal Cave that was clan’s prison where both he and Tres being trapped within spell circles too far to be able to touch each other. While in there Tres asked why Mani had captured Megan Mani not understanding how he did not see how much money they could have earned. Benizakura having come to feed the two disagreed with what Mani was saying the clan being able to get enough money between holidays and more once all that hoarded stuff rose in prize. The pearlcatcher either didn’t want to spent too much time with the imperials or had better things to do and left after having given what he wanted to give. Two nights later the two were brought to the court where Mani was blamed for theft and kidnapping and he didn’t really try to defend what he had done everyone knowing what had happened. Megan wanted them both to be exiled and Mani hoped that wouldn’t be the case he not wanting to live poor under the open sky. Karmiini though, luckily, thought exiling was too much and sentenced both brothers to lose their status and Mani also had to compensate the damage he had caused to his two victims. Mani hated that but was not given chance to complain the judge denying their right to appeal. Megan wanted Mani to buy a spell for her but she didn’t tell what spell he was supposed to buy and all he could do was give her money to buy that spell. Theia was easier she wanting books, about ten, about the Moons and gave very clear instruction for Mani when he went to buy them. Along with those she wanted him to bring her some fish and Mani went to take those only to notice Megan having brought a spell that prevented him or Tres from entering the Hoard area. That was more than annoying but there was nothing Mani could do and asked Megan to give him fish to bring to Theia after which Mani decided he’d avoid the Hoard the best he could. Tres was able to get his status back relatively soon after loosing it while Mani struggled to not get jealous he having next to no chances at getting his back. To have something to do Mani helped his brother mostly just counting how much money they earned every time they earned it Tres being the one to count the full result with used money included. With the minimalistic lifestyle of the lair most dragons who earned their money themselves usually had so much money that they donated some of it to the public cash which was why Mani decided to suggest Berrytee to sell his paintings he thus joining ambassadors as clan's donors. It had been ages since the trial that took away Mani's status when clan's architects Rosalin and Pernis came to meet the brothers. They were going to use a lot of money to rebuilt the lair to make it more luxurious, with what Mani was alright, they suggesting Tres his own office. They were also planning to make Mani his own shop in which he could gather sellable items until they had enough to bother getting somewhere more busy to have an actual trade stand. Mani had not expected to be given his place back and he had not expected Megan to allow mainly Rosalin's idea, which she had not. Upon hearing that Mani decided that he won't try talk about their to-be dynamic until she invited him which unsurprisingly didn't happen. The clan had just accepted their newest money sink when seemingly fate showed its disapproval first making familiars hostile being followed by threat of war with a plague clan. Mani found that very annoying the potential money loss from a war being massive if the clan even survived it in the first place. Though Mani had opportunities at forming trade bonds for the future he instead spent his time finding mercenaries in case of war igniting, if not to save the clan then to save their imperial skin. The war was avoided but then the leaders disappeared both brothers agreeing that was the last thing they wanted to happen after having dealt with hostile familiars and mean plague students for weeks. Like that wasn't enough an earthquake hit the lair another evening Mani going to see what had caused that only to hear that the clan was to be sacrificed to summon the Shade. And to top that Mani and Tres' father Glade was on board with that he having been the dragon to drive familiars hostile in the first place. For Mani that was more of a status insult than emotional betrayal the clan giving them cold glances because of their father. Mani was so close at getting his status back and not wanting the distrust to ruin that he joined Tres as they helped their clan mates in the unbearable situation. Mani felt awkward when it was Tres who noticed Megan being missing instead of him who thought the fae more often, because they didn't like each other. Mani was also more interested about how much money it would require to get lair back to its feet after that was all over. Mani and Tres were waiting the summoning to start both keeping an eye on their father hoping to see him be devoured first if they were to be devoured. After the summoning failed a bone controlling wyvern appearing instead Their control being interrupted by some spirit help and the clan started an attack against the summoner Mani hoping their reinforcements didn't require payment the imperial brother found themselves guarding Megan she resting between Tres' antlers. For Mani that was not a surprise but he was feeling a bit awkward in the situation anyway. He avoided watching the fae looking at the battles instead. Once that battles ended, and Glade was driven away, Mani and Tres followed Megan as she went to the Hoard to check their food situation the imperials helping to share the food between residents and guests before moving to plan out fixes for the damage done to their property. The earthquake had broken some of the items that were meant to be sold and Megan gave Mani the stuff that was still sellable. He got the clan the funds needed to fix the most important areas, mostly just parts of inn and temple's healing part. Once the clan life recovered from the incident the clan started to work with their building projects. Mani actually got his own shop slightly after the temple was built Megan actually giving him the items he was supposed to sell. What Mani found even more surprising was that after the Hoard was rebuilt the fae actually removed the spell that prevented imperials from entering the it and Mani actually started to visit the fae to talk about what to sell. Their overall attitude towards each other though remained cautions Mani knowing he would join his father as outlaw if he let the luxury tempt him too much while Megan knew that was always possible. |

Traits
Mani is an arcane imperial with naturally yellowish green body with brown python patches. His wings are sand colored and have flame like pattern. They also sparkle dimly. He though has bought himself a skin that turns him entirely golden in color his wings gaining darker upside and lighter downside. The skin makes his scales more prominent and he gains long scales on top of his wings as well. He has long antlers having about ten branches and they turn slightly down near the end. He has long bread it being tied with three gilded beads, long cheek fur and mane down to his shoulders after which it is rather short. His tail tuft is usually loosely plait and his eyes are common pink in color. Mani loves gold and wears almost exclusively golden or gilded clothes. He has white silky shirt and on it a dark grayish purple vest with golden swirls, golden pants and on them red and golden sash. His tail is decorated with golden tassel with golden beads, his wings have gilded cuffs and he has golden roundhorns that are actually a crown he wears. He also has quite a lot of jewelry having large golden earrings hanging from his antlers, two gilded rings one per hand right one having tear shaped amber piece while left one has blue topaz and on his neck he has golden necklace with orange citrine and on his right eye he has golden monocle it being on the opposite side as his stronger left hand. Mani is very untrustworthy sounding dragon with his strong and deep voice that oozes both arrogance and greed. He isn’t the most polite but he knows how to speak to customers to buy stuff most of the time knowing what to say and what to not say. He has clear American accent. Mani is dragon who loves wealth and being able to show that off. He especially wants to look like he’s got money others don’t have and make them jealous but he doesn’t actually care if other are jealous or not. For him the highest priority is to look like he’s got the holy material of gold. Though wanting to be richer than others he doesn’t really look down to others that are poorer. Others don’t usually matter to him as long as they are not trying to prevent him from getting the profit he wants. He loves money and does what he needs to get that. Mani isn’t the most social dragon being often seen among others but not in social sense. If he shows up in public he either came to show his golden apparels, is making his way to somewhere else or came to sell stuff. He pays mind to others only if they can be sold something or they are interfering with him he being more or less ignorant towards others otherwise. Only ones he cares about outside customers or obstacles are his two brothers and even with them his care is more to make sure they have the funds they need to not be seen as poor. Chances are that if any of them is hurt Mani is worried because of how much money that costs them and not because they were his brothers. Mani has a four tailed golden kitsune Cash he obtained to show off both his love for gold and his overall wealth. Like Mani Cash is a bit snobby knowing their owner's wealth and being proud of it. They can’t speak normally and whether or not they can use telepathy is unknown they having not bothered to prove either of the claims right. Though unable to speak Cash is still very intelligent understanding speech and being able to smell lies they growling when smelling them. Cash was originally just a pet for Mani but after noticing their common love for wealth and their intelligence Mani has started to see them as partner more than just a pet. Mani knows the most common levitation and size altering spells using them to show off product on right size. He can also slightly alter how things look mostly making them look prettier but the spell isn’t really reliable it only working from certain angles and it breaks as soon as anyone touches the item. That spell is most commonly used to make his clothes look even better than what they are. Along with those he is decent with talking with customers but that comes from the tips he learned from a book and not from actual skills. |
