She joined the lair from a Plague Clan, and immediately liked what she saw. Finding a scroll entitled "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," she began to read, and became instantly entranced, going on to read it's 6 companion scrolls and several add-ons as well. After a bit of thought, she chose the name "Norberta," lamenting that she can not find a creature like a "Hagrid" anywhere to play with. She does, however, have a Hippogriff for a Familiar.

9-15-14: After a lengthy friendship, Norberta has finally managed to coax her Hippogriff familiar, Buckbeak, to Awaken! She is very excited, and hopes to have many more adventures with her old friend... while she is also looking for another Hippogriff to bond to... or perhaps a giant spider or crab? Hmmm... she will have to check the Bestiary and see what lives in this area...

9-21-14: During the Starfall Celebration, Norberta entered a contest to show off her love of HP...and of her role model, Minerval McGonagall... ( )
…Norberta did not win, but she had a lot of fun, and looks forward to gathering even more Harry Potter related paraphernalia in the future....

9-25-14: It was a long wait, but at last she has found her Timeturner! Now, with the Timeturner's Sandglass, she can look like her other favorite character, Hermione Granger... though she will need to don red robes, if she wants to complete the effect.

9-30-14: In keeping with her love of the Harry Potter scrolls, Norberta has found her next familiar: when Prongs and Moony returned successful from their quest to find their missing brother, (who they rescued from a Gilded Chest) Norberta happily adopted and bonded with the small Black Wolf, making him an instant member of her growing family. Quartz and Lapislazuli are amused by the apparent defection of their own first familiars, but very happy that Padfoot has been found at last...

11-22-14: Soulfire would not give up her red cape... but Norberta has found something better: A Midnight Cape! Now she can look like a true Harry Potter witch....

12-28-14: Padfoot has Awakened! Norberta's thrill at her companion's success has been dulled a bit by the constant, ecstatic barking and howling.... who knew that Black Wolves could be so loud?

1-15-15: Padfoot has joined Prongs and Moony elsewhere in the cave, and Norberta is enjoying some much-needed peace and quiet. Though she has not abandoned the idea of bonding with familiars entirely. She just found a more, er--sedate--companion: In keeping with her original idea, she has found herself a Blue Tang Hippogriff! Witherwings seems quite happy to be her friend, and Norberta is feeling content....

2-22-15: Something odd seems to be gong on during the Trickmurk Circus this year, as the Clan’s friends in Teeka’s Clan seem to be interested in engaging in a prank war... ( ) … and Norberta—and several other dragons--are only too happy to accept the challenge…. ( )

2-23-15: And the Prank War continues...on two fronts! It seems that even as Teeka's Hellebore responded to the Flower Prank from Norberta's niece, and the Clan ended up chasing a bunch of Micro Deer all day long, Norberta has had to make things more complicated, with a curious enchanted “map” meant to frustrate whoever tries to use it! ( , )

Oh dear…it looks like things are getting extremely interesting…but not, apparently, for Norberta, who has sent her prank, and is now quite content to watch without getting further involved. Hopefully others in the Clan will have the same idea…

3-3-15: A moment of boredom wandering through the hoard yielded unexpected results: Norberta has found a Gryffindor Scarf! The Red and Gold Flair Scarf is just perfect for her outfit...

4-15-15: Witherwings has Awakened! Norberta is extremely happy for her old friend, and he seems to be pretty happy too...

11-4-15: Padfoot is growing bigger...and some of his personality is beginning to emerge...oh dear...perhaps they should not have gone to the Tangle Wood? It seems to have reminded him of a another forest, in another world, where he used to play with all manner of things and beings.... ( )

11-5-15: Norberta was trying to make her way home, when Padfoot decided to make a detour to a very odd manor, where he decided to chase some rats... ( , , ) Well, at least the Skydancer was understanding...

11-7-15: And Norbeta--and Padfoot's--adventures at the Spooky Spree continue, this time at an Apple Bobbing Cauldron, which Padfoot just had to investigate… ( )

11-10-15: After a fun time bobbing in the cauldron during the Spooky Spree, Norberta discovered that she now was the proud owner of a very familiar Diadem...the Sky Blue Fillet was tested by several dragons of the Clan, and found to be no longer cursed. Norberta has happily added Ravenclaw's Diadem to her personal hoard....although she has not, yet, tried it on....

8-29-16: It is amazing what one can find in the forest! While exploring and attempting some magic "spells," Norberta head a loud, demanding, "mrrow." Upon inspection, she found a very familiar looking Orange Tabby.... now she has her own Crookshanks! All she needs to complete her outfit is a book...

3-28-17: Norberta has entered a costume contest to show off her modeling of Hermione Granger, her other favorite character… ( )
..Despite her best efforts, Norberta did not win the contest. Nevertheless, she is feeling quite pleased with herself, as she has found some new ways to model Harry Potter characters, even if she still does not have her book….

4-3-17: While poking around in the hoard, Norberta found an amazing cloak that was just laying around.... now she can pretend to be Harry Potter, too, with her own personal Invisibility Cloak!

9-1-18: Norberta has once again ventured out to a Festival, this time in the company of JKR, and the Snapper GeorgeRRMartin, both of whom were as interested in the new Volcano in the Ashfall Waste as Norberta was. At JKR's suggestion, Norberta brought Padfoot along, to give the wolf some exercise. This had a somewhat unexpected result at the Ember Toss Forge during the Flameforger's Festival... ( )
Hmmm...It seems that JKR and Padfoot are beginning to become something of a team...and Norberta is definitely enjoying the benefits of this union, as she now has a chance to acquire some very special pets hiding inside glass bottles....

...Though not without offering some benefits of her own back. Out of the 10 Tosses the 3 dragons took at the Ancient Forge, Norberta took only 1 of the 8 lit bottles, insisting that JKR should have her other 2. Apparently, Norberta was not as unaware of who told Padfoot where to go as JKR thought, and after all, she only needs ONE Norwegian Ridgeback....

11-4-18: The special Plague familiar this year caused a bit of controversy, as no less than 3 dragons tried to claim him. While Norberta dropped out quickly, deciding that she really didn't want a "Slytherin" familiar, Riddle attempted on several occasions to entice the Serthis to his side. For a time it seemed that he would succeed, and the Coatl Jasper would once again miss out on his chance to have a shot at the Riot of Rot familiar. Duskshadow, however, had other ideas. Pointing out firmly that Riddle already had a special Plague familiar of his own, she gave Jasper first chance, and after a brief hesitation the Serthis chose the proud Coatl to be his dragon.

He did, however, make one odd concession to the Mirror Riddle: When asked his name, he informed Jasper that he rather liked the idea of being "Severus," the name that Riddle had been trying to use. No one is quite sure what this will mean in the future, but, at the moment, at least, this familiar seems content with his choice. Norberta is also content, happily entertaining her 3 friends, and waiting to see what will happen next....

1-30-20: The Crystalline Gala has arrived, and with it the Sornieth Winter Games. This year, much to Norebrta’s surprise, the witch will be competing in the games herself, as a member of the Ice Hockey Team! Apparently, the Clan’s “Random Draw” for team members decided that Norberta would make a good Left Defender. ( ) She isn’t sure whether or not that is actually true, but she’ll do her best…

2-2-20: After an intense time on the ice, it is a relief for Norberta to join the rest of those who competed in the Games this year in the (relatively) simple task of breaking down camp, while waiting for the team's results… ( )

2-7-20: Sadly, Norberta’s best was not quite good enough, and neither was the rest of the team’s. They tried hard, but in the end they were beaten badly in the third round, and ended up finishing in the middle of the lists. Still, it was a better finish than last place would have been, and Norberta is proud of her own efforts. Who knows? Maybe she’ll even try again next year…
