Scylla is the clan's foremost horticulturalist. She governs the community garden with the help of her foragers, who help to sow and harvest the majority of edible flora for the food stores. Plant-based medicines also grow their roots from here- it's not all that uncommon to find the healer sect of the Deepsea Oracles among Scylla's foragers, as the two seem to coincide more often than not.
The clan's garden can be found in the kelp forests of the Fishspine Reef. It's been named the Laminaria Forest, and it poses as an essential resource for the clan. The environment here is the only place hospitable enough to cultivate plants and brings in all manor of sea life. The borders are protected by the water magic of the Deepsea Oracles.
Scylla takes pride in the plants she grows, nurturing them with heart and handling them with care. The process of growing food should be sustainable, but that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable or flavorful as well. She spends a lot of her time crossbreeding certain plants to make the most of their specific traits or genes, attempting to lengthen their shelf-life or preserve their flavor. Her passion for her work can be infectious to the other foragers.
Scylla is considered very knowledgeable in her field of expertise and can name hundreds plants off the top of her head. She is working on her own novel of plant identification, which she vows to complete for the better of Sornieth's botanists everywhere.
