"The egg, look at the egg!"

"That... That shouldn't be possible."

Those were the first things Dai heard as he scrambled out of the eggshell. He beamed at the surrounding dragon's faces, unaware that just a few moments ago his egg had lain still and unmoving. It was the first time anyone saw his tenacity and his will to survive.

And it didn't stop there.

As Dai grew, he became a fighter. He'd search for the toughest monsters and fight until he was exhausted, then keep going. Many times, another dragon had to be sent after him, just to pull the collapsed fae out of further danger. The healer would insist that this was the last time, he'd be hurt for good this time. And yet, every time, Dai healed and grew stronger.

Aurora Spellwing found Dai one day, in the middle of a training session. She was impressed by his fighting skills, and invited him to stay with her clan. But on one condition- learning how to use wisdom during fighting, not just strength.

Under Suer's guidance, Dai grew in his skills. He was a master with a sword, able to heft it with no trouble although it was 2/3 his size. Flips from talon to tail, acrobatics in the air, risky slashes- he looked incredible in a fight. And he learned how to protect himself instead of just relying on his fighting power.

Armor, lightweight but strong. Just like Dai himself. Practiced dodges, able to turn at a moment's notice if danger approached. New techniques, such as whipping up wind with his strong wings. Dai learned, grew in skills, and eventually surpassed Suer.
