Poem Hector A slight of hand, A trick of the eye. Ingore your purse, Focus on me. Doves disappear into air, Coins seemingly appear from no where. Illusions one claims, Tricks crys another. But he simply smiles, Magic, Nothing but magic. By Willowfrost10

Hector Smiled Broadly at Dragons passerby, gesturing to his table of magicks before him in hopes of a 'customer'. Through his efforts, soon three dragons crowded the table, two guardians and a snobbish tundra with some of its friends. As He briefly surveyed his present audience, he took in their individual demeanor. The Rude and ignorant Tundra, who was whispering to its friends quite loudly about how he though this magic was just utter 'Bogus'. Briefly frowning, Hector quickly put up his smirk and covered up his distaste for this particular customer with the knowledge that he would soon get back at him, in however small a way. He decided to act as quickly as he could in his small act of rebellious revenge, and his eyes land on the brilliant Carnelian necklace about the tundra's fluffy neck. He gestured for it to step forwards, past the other Tundras in it's group, and past the bustling crowd, Up to his 'Stage', if you will. The trick itself passed rather quickly, a simple card trick in which he made the Tundra choose a card and then he cleverly hid the card it had chosen behind it's neck without it noticing. He told it to remember it's chosen card, and even though it rolled it's eyes it did appear to be thinking on it's card as he then reached behind it's neck to pinch the Card (And the Necklace). In the Tundra's surprise at being in such close quarters with the magician it did not notice the missing weight of it's necklace. The Tundra turned away to it's friends, Scoffing. However, Hector, Still upholding his devilish grin, slid the necklace under his table where it rested on a small collection of Jewelry from similarly rude customers. With a few more hours left for the Post to be open, Hector decided to call it a day and retreat to his den. He counted his treasure happily with the same, equally devilish and toothy smile on his face. Each of his 'customers' had been none the wiser, and most even downright cheery or offended at the sleight-of-hand Magicks. If it made him happy, taught rude dragons a lesson, and also made him money? Surely there was nothing more wrong with that than there was a 'normal' job. Hector had never really liked normal. Some dragons could not even fathom being in his line of work, "Preposterous!" some would cry, Aghast at the mere notion of it. He laughed in their faces, For he knew he was would change more minds in his line of work and bring more riches to himself than they could ever manage by being simply, 'normal'. |
