Zolin was old enough when finally finding a clan to call her home to not remember her original home clan, nor the land where she was born. She always felt uneasy because of her age in her new home and acted shy because she didn't want to offend anyone - as everyone know, pearlcatchers can be arrogant and she did not want to be seen as that. Travelers came and went and she started dreaming of their travels, their visits to other clans, and most importantly: the possibility of seeing the Sunbeam Ruins. One day, when Stine, a fellow pearlcatcher decided on the date of her leave, she shyly asked to join. They started a new journey together - hopefully to the Lightweaver's territory.
~~~
They reached the Sunbeam Ruins, just like Zolin had hoped. The clan they docked with was, just like the pearlcatcher herself, of mixed heritage - forged in the fires of the Flamecaller, wisened up in the stillness of the Earthshaker and, finally, enlightened in the beams of the Lightweaver herself. Strangely enough, a majority of the clan's dragons seemed unwilling to accept the light in which they basked. Zolin couldn't understand why anyone would resist such a gift. |
The following night, Stine had caught word of a museum of sorts, throning in the center of the clan's many lairs. A strange artifact was supposedly stored there, dug up by the king's men. Zolin agreed to come with her, eager to see the prized posession - an eagerness that was dulled as they came closer to the shrine, and ebbed out into a still anxiety as they entered the hall of the building. There, she exchanged glances with Stine, and understood that her friend felt the same. Stine was bolder, the fear she felt didn't seem to diminish her curiosity - she was surprised and disappointed when Zolin told her she had changed her mind about going there. And so Stine went alone. Zolin waited for her to come back, but time passed by. First hours, then days. When she asked the guards and security of the clan, no one seemed to believe her.
~~~
After waiting weeks, with no word of Stine, Zolins anxiety grew heavy on her back. She decided she could no longer stay like this and left. She flew for days until she was too exhausted to even crawl. Drained, hungry and thirsty she lay hopeless. Until a gatherer from a water clan stumbled upon her. The Other pearlcatcher broutght her into the lair, where a skydancer , named Aura, took care of her. While in the clan she secluded herself from the other dragons. She wanted to leave as soon as she Regained her full strength. |
~~~
After returning home, she became the Wind representative of the clan despite being a Light dragon with no colors specifically windy at all. Her age and travels gave her wisdom and her love for the Wind flight made her a perfect candidate. She was surprised by the lair change of the clan and misses the gentle winds a lot. She is trying to persuade the clan to move back to Wind territory - from time to time again - but she is slowly starting to feel at home at the new scenery. |
