HAETARA - Tarotist
The Moon Siren Coven always knows when it will be graced with Haetara's presence. First comes the sweet scent of flowers on the wind, even in the dead of winter. Primroses and peonies fill the air, and spring seems to send its love, no matter how distant it may be. Then comes Haetara's caravan proper, a beautiful display in the dark Tangled Wood. She adorns her own cart in ever-changing ways, but always in hues of pink and gold, and with fresh herbs spilling from the planters nailed to the cart's sides. Around her, the rest of the caravan shifts and shuffles, but she is somehow always at the center of it, the warm heart in the cold night.
Haetara's arrival is always more than welcome with the coven, because her services can be hard to find elsewhere, and her trustworthy demeanor is a rarity in itself. Dragons flock to her once the caravan is settled, plying her with gold and personal treasures as they beg to have their fortunes read from the cards. There are skeptics who say she is a fraud; with her poor, cloudy eyesight, how could she ever truly glimpse the future? But those who have paid for her services swear on her accuracy. Physical sight and supernatural sight are far from being one and the same.
Tarot is not her only specialty, though. The herbs growing on Haetara's cart are a part of her medicinal endeavors. She may not be a world-class healer, but she was raised to take care of herself. Her herbal remedies are as homemade as they come, patched by hand and sealed with a blessing from her tarot cards every time. She knots each ribbon in a special way to bring the fortune her clients most need, and after a few days have elapsed, if she is still in the area, she likes to check in with them, making sure they are well once more.
This was how she met her girlfriend, Talia. It started with a simple sleeping spell, all lavender and sweet herbs to settle her mind when it came time to rest. It blossomed from the moment Haetara first checked in on Talia, though, and now, the coven has started to pester her about settling down. She insists she is a traveling trader, but her visits to Talia have grown so frequent, and her trading is clearly only an excuse to see her beloved at this point. It is readily apparent to the coven that the only thing stopping her from moving in with Talia is Talia's own insistence that Haetara continue bringing goodness and hope to the whole of the Tangled Wood. They cannot hold out forever, though, and rumor has it that by winter, Haetara's traveling days may come to an end.
