Biography

Unnamed The old that is strong does not wither and deep roots are not touched by the frost. His grandmother had said this to him once as a child, she’d been a wise old Tundra even then. He thought he understood it but apparently he hadn’t at all. He had thought his (former) leaders were past their prime only to be proven very wrong and banished. One would be surprised at how many coups actually took place in the Labyrinth; most people would think Plague dragons could only be so cunningly cruel, but Nature dragons were taught nothing lasted forever and everything eventually died and a new life began. That was what it should have been, a new beginning for them. Well it was, but not how they ever expected it. He doesn’t blame his mother but he’s not pleased in the slightest. He didn’t blame any of them, not even himself, it just pained him that they all had to suffer this. The looming separation was not helping. He huffed at himself, he was getting philosophical again. His mother swore up and down he’d gotten it from his grandmother, her Light blood shining through like dappled sunlight through leaves. Which was hilarious given his primary scales were the darkest black there was. Peculiar thing, blood. Did you know non-Guardian children of Guardians also felt a pull? Oh it wasn’t to anything specific, there was no mystical instinct that pointed the way, instead it floated around like a loose string just waiting to be tied to the other end. That is the best analogy at least for him, because he knew once he found something that he could wholly call his, be it a home or dragon or an object, it would tie itself to it and his protectiveness would go through the roof. It should have been his clan and for most of his life it was, that was the other benefit, they didn’t really go into shock at the breaking of the bond. He felt cold without it but not incomplete. He shook his head again to clear his contemplative thoughts and settled into companionable silence with his soon to be former clanmates. by IronPen |
