Main Theme: Druid of the Avatir Arach, Matriarch of the Pina Clan, Loyal to Siva'Kraken- her best friend

______ A young Druid, Pina'Lynaril was an outcast from her more fire happy brethren. Where she wished to heal, they wished to destroy. Not all flamecrawlers, just her family- the ones who brought her into the world of Sornieth, deep in the Ashfall Wastes. Darkness and ash, lava and flames- and yet she could not find herself in their company- for their rage knew no bounds and her compassion and kindness left her hurt many a time.

So, barely more than a hatchling, Pina'Lynaril left her parent's den to prove to herself that kindness and compassion was not a weakness, but a strength.

She flew and she flew- traversing the land and learning the art of healing, something she needed plenty of when she flew too close to an unfriendly creature. Eventually she came upon the Sea of a Thousand Currents where she stopped to rest, finding peace in the blues of the ocean among the colors of the sky. It was there that her life truly changed, for she found a young Skydancer in the waves, wounded badly, and so her short break turned into days of work, trying to heal the Arach she had come upon.

Days past as Lyn worked, taking minimal breaks for she did not wish to see her patient fade away like so many had before. She called upon her inner fire to keep her going day and night, avoiding breaking for food as even that might take too long.

Eventually her patient awoke, and instead of shying away, or harming Lyn out of fear or rage- the young Skydancer thanked the Druid for her work. Lyn, partly out of shock for the gratitude, and partly out of exhaustion, promptly passed out.

When Lyn finally awoke, it was to find herself in a hidden den- full of scrolls and books, and the Skydancer humming over what looked to be a desk hewn out of the wall.

"You're finally awake!" The Skydancer exclaimed happily. "You really scared me back there, were you not caring for yourself?"

Lyn, not trusting her unused voice, simply shook her head.

"Hmm, you really should take more care of yourself as well."

Lyn simply shrugged her shoulders.

"Thank you again though, I really thought I was a goner- don't know how I ended up here but I really can't thank you enough." The Skydancer paused, "Wait, I do know how I can thank you, how about we make a home here, a place for outcast dragons to come and make their home? You, you're a Druid, so you could keep us healthy, and I'm a strategist so I could work to keep us protected using our surroundings. I'm sure eventually we'll find others to join us, we could build a real community here!"

The Skydancer was so enthusiastic that Lyn was overwhelmed, but what she said, it made sense to the Druid. Why not? A little voice in her head spoke up. Why not make a home for outcasts like you? Make a home, a new family, a new start at life not dictated by origins or place of birth.

"I-I'd like that," Lyn spoke in a cracking voice, "I think I'd really like that."

"Then it's settled! Oh, name's Kraken by the way!"

"Lyn, well, Lynaril, but please call me Lyn."

And that was the start of the Avatir Arach.
