Growing up, Anatiri remembered being very different from her nest mates and fellow clan members. She was… soft, to them, though in order to survive within the Plague clan, she had had to adapt. She did what she knew she had to do to survive, and that meant she needed to portray herself as hardy as the rest of the members, at least until she had grown large enough to escape and find her own place.
Her nest mates were cruel to her, but Ana eventually came out on top in their scuffles, to the shock and disdain of her parents. They did not enjoy that one as gentle in nature as her was proving worthier than her siblings, especially since it was in the nature of Plague clans to have a single surviving hatchling, for the strongest would remove the challengers found in the weakest amongst them. To them, the fact that Ana was leaving her siblings alive was a slight towards their clan’s customs, and Ana was running out of time.
The moment she was able to spread her wings and fly for longer than an hour, Ana made her escape. In the dead of night, when her siblings and parents were asleep, Ana took her chance and flew away, far away, from the Plague clan she had called home.
She eventually was found by a nature dragon, and the two made a very unlikely, but swift friendship. Cadha, as the imp called herself, had fled her desolate home, and the two young dragons were quick to ally with each other in the unfriendly wilds of Sornieth.
Over time they were found by an elderly warrior who offered to pass down the knowledge he had accumulated to them, helping them navigate the more dangerous zones. He eventually introduced them to a forest shaman who saw potential in Anatiri, and trained her in the ways of the healing arts, that is not to say that Anatiri could not hold her own in a fight, just that she could also heal herself and others during battle.
Weeks turned into months until finally the two she-dragons found a newly created Alliance, the Alliance of the Avatir Arach, led by two she-dragons, a Pearlcatcher named Lyn, and a Skydancer named Kraken. Upon learning that Ana and Cadha had completed their training and were masters of their trades, the two Matriarchs, as they were called, requested the two to join the Alliance, as Champions.
And so it became that Anatiri was a Champion of the Alliance- and the predominant healer, at least until she and Cadha completed Lyn’s training as a Druidic healer. Ana’s current role in the clan still remains as a healer, but she now has more time for her own wishes, such as taking care of hatchlings and spending time with her elders.
Cadha remains her closest friend, but Anatiri knows that the imperial has grown distant with her, possibly due to how hard she has been working in training the newest members of the clan to defend themselves especially as it has grown tremendously in its short time of existing.
Anatiri was hopeful that eventually she and her best friend could enjoy their early retirement, yet remain as a constant layer of defense for the Alliance- though hopefully it would never be needed.
