Pyrite is silent; literally, he never speaks. He does not need to speak when his only purpose, according to him, is to sit quietly and look beautiful. There is some intelligence to him, though; when clanmates ask him to move or perform simple tasks, he will do so obediently. He seems intent on pleasing whoever talks to him; perhaps as a piece of jewelry, his previous owner was unsatisfied with him. He seems particularly attached to Melamus, almost bordering a friendship with him, probably because of his sparkling, jewel-like appearance.

backstory
One night after a long day of digging up forgotten treasures, some dragons came back with a few pieces of jewelry, most importantly a beautiful aquamarine ring set in gold. The dragons placed them in the hoard and went to sleep, happy with their findings. However, when they woke up, the clan found a glittering gold fae slumbering on top of Melamus! They checked the hoard reluctantly, and their hunch was true; it seemed that a Jewelry Box Fae had made its home in the Woodland. Most of the other dragons have no problem with him being there, and some even feel lucky that such a rare and mythical phenomenon happened in the little Woodland they call home.
