Stargazer Occupation: Astronomer, Occultist Status: Subject, Donor, Affiliate ID Number: #005 Batch: #002 Version: 1.1 Birth: Synthetic Origin: Starfall Isles Personality: dyplomatic, charming, unsettling, easy-going, tactful Background and behaviour: Lead astronomer of the clan, Stargazer was predisposed to the role since birth. Conceived Produced during the event known as Bounty of the Elements; the magic balance in the nest was disturbed, resulting in Stargazer absorbing more Arcane energy than his sister. Due to that, his physical form is fragile, as he consists mostly of magic (unlike other dragons that are made mostly of physical matter). It appears that this unusual makeup serves to connect him more deeply to the domain of the Arcane, like magic and stars. A side effect of that is a strange aliment (?) affecting his hide: it appears to shift and transform itself, resulting in a nebula-like moving pattern covering more and more of his body, like he was made of the very cosmic space itself. His true passion seems to be the study of ancient lore, far preceding even the Second Age; stories of primordial monstrosities and star-deities older than the Eleven are of particular interest. To this end, he even acquired a shaman from one of the most primal and reclusive tribes currently existing, one Coatl by the name of Akui (sub. #000L), to help him with his pursuits. Spends most of his time in his study in the Starwood Strand. Collaborative and very precious. Distinctive Features: Body markings slowly mutating into what looks like a nebula-like pattern, which seem to actually be moving... Somehow. Familiar(s): Witherbough Warlock Familiar Beware the dancing lights in the thicket; there are malevolent creatures about. A branch or a root could turn out to be the searching claws of something sinister... 0 Notes: WHAT ARE THOSE GHASTLY APPARITIONS AND WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?!!! AND WHY IS HE SO CASUAL ABOUT THEM??!! Update #1: Acquired a new companion recently, a Wildclaw by the name of Eridanus. They are inseparable. Stargazer is practically infatuated with that fellow. But who is he, and where did he come from? Nobody seems to know. Update #2: Something happened. Stargazer's eyes keep leaking this strange, black, gooey substance. He refuses to tell anybody what caused that. He is still accompanied by Eridanus at all times, but he appears more guarded around him now. It is almost as if Stargazer is... afraid? Update #3: His eyes have almost stopped leaking completely, but now the sclera is darkened. No one knows if it is going to return to its natural color, not even Paracelsus. As his physical condition improves(?), his mental state is deteriorating. He has become quieter, meeker than he's been before. He shudders every time he sees Eridanus now, but they are still close - in fact, the Wildclaw became incredibly familiar with Stargazer, treating him like a best friend. What is happening between those two? Update #4: His eyes' sclera became completely black, but they are no longer leaking at all. Stargazer is trying to act as usual and assures us that nothing has changed, but he is clearly different now; he clearly lacks something that he has had before. While his behavior is superficially unchanged, he seems to lack the conviction that has once dominated his persona. His moves are slower, uncertain, at times almost robotic; he no longer breaks into cheerful sermons at the drop of a hat, instead frequently withdrawing into contemplative silence. His dark glance is as piercing as always, but behind those eerily pink eyes now lies a broken dragon. It is painful to watch. We want our Stargazer back. What have you done to him, Eridanus...?

Notes for lore (spoilers?):
- the imbalance of magic in the nest was actually knowingly caused by Nightchatcher tampering with the magic overflow during BotE
- his body being made mostly of magic and incredibly fragile means that he will die an early and sudden death, just turning to dust one day. He's fully aware of that and wants to do something great before that happens.
- leader of the cult of the Ones Beyond
- consideres the Deities of Sornieth to be false Gods, created by the Ones Beyond as simple servants that were accidentally allowed to run freely for too long and become defective
- according to this story, the Eleven were simple bloodpuppets, created to form a new world for the Ones to rule over. However, since it was just one of many such projects, the Ones Beyond simply forgot to check up on Sornieth and gave the Gods enough time to become conscious and rebel. The Shade was an emissary of the Ones Beyond, send to fix them, but was driven away by their combined forces. When the Ones saw that, they decided that taking back Sornieth was not worth the effort and left to rule over the other worlds in their possession. Not that they could not - just one of them is many times stronger than all of the Eleven combined - but it just was not important enough for them to care.
- Stargazer refuses to serve false deities, so he wants to call forth the Ones Beyond to come back to Sornieth and claim what is rightfully theirs
- to this end, he practices the art of summoning - (un)fortunately, he usually manages to summon anyone but one of the Ones (say that ten times fast). And this is where fandragons come from, y'all!
